Loano is preparing the “New Year's Eve in the square” to celebrate the arrival of the new year.
The city will greet the end of 2016 by giving a magical night of dancing with one of the most famous DJs: Mario Fargetta, aka “Get Far”.
“On New Year's Eve, Piazza Italia, the heart of the city of Doria, will once again pulsate to the rhythm of disco music. - Says Councillor Remo Zaccaria - During the Christmas holidays we will welcome tourists with concerts, markets and shows for the little ones. In addition, given the success of the past two editions, we have confirmed the year-end event, with the intention of offering one more reason to choose Loano as a Christmas vacation destination. The goal of the evening is to offer, after the dinner, an opportunity to celebrate the end of the year with a free event open to a wide range of tourists and residents. Tourism is our main economy and it is important to support it all year round with strong entertainment and attraction events.”.
The evening will kick off at 22.30 with a DJ set curated by the young and already established dj/producer NCL.
From 23.30, will come to the console Fargetta, the historic disc jockey of Radio DEEJAY, with house and dance music and some of his disco hits and international remixes that will enliven the square until late at night.
The celebration will continue on first January, with the spectacular fireworks scheduled inlle 18.00 at Kursaal Pier.
The dj Mario Get Far Fargetta depopulated by reaching major ratings records thanks to the cult dance program “Deejay Time” aired on Radio DEEJAY.
“Deejay Time” was one of the symbols of the 1990s in Italy, in its long history it launched catchphrases, characters and trends as well as popularized dozens of songs and artists related to a wide variety of dance music genres.
Fargetta is also one of the most well-known record producers in Europe. His most important productions include: Music, Music is Moving, Your Love, Midnight which have reached the top of the world's most important club charts while with the project Tamperer ft. Maya “Feel It” reached number one on the UK sales chart, number one throughout Europe and number 4 on the US club chart, selling more than two million copies.
In 2006, under the pseudonym Get Far, Mario Fargetta, produced the hit Shining Star played by Sagi Rei. The song entered, in a short time, the European radio charts and reached the top positions in France, Belgium, Holland, Italy , getting great airplay on BBC 1 Radio1. Shining Star remained on Bilboard's Hot-Dance Airplay for over two months, becoming one of the most played dance tracks in the summer of 2007 by many top DJs around the world. Also in 2006, Mario Fargetta, was awarded the Golden Lion for lifetime achievement in music and radio career.
In 2008 he released, again with the voice of Sagi Rei, the single All I Need . Still in 2008 Mario Fargetta was awarded the Saint-Vincent award for professionalism, innovation in the radio scene and with the Grolle D’ Oro award for best DJ.
2009 was the year of The Radio sung by H-Boogie, queen of British soul. The song reached No. 1 on Bilboard magazine's well-known American Hot-Dance Airplay chart and topped all European charts.
In 2010, the following came out Free new production performed by Vaanya Diva. The video alone exceeded two and a half million views on youtube in a very short time. In 2011 Get Far released This is how to feels vs. Jill Jones (former performer of “Mia Boca” produced by Prince). Also in 2011, he released The Champions Of The World e Fission, a track aimed at the club world that is supported by top international DJs.
On the occasion of the 2012 Sanremo Festival Get Far Fargetta is a guest of his friend Gigi D ’Alessio on the stage of the Ariston theater where he brings, for the first time in the race, dance-music within the Festival remixing the song ’Breathe” sung, precisely, by Gigi D'Alessio and Loredana Bertè.
A passion for radio is a well-known thing for Get Far, which since early April 2012 has launched its new Radio Show “We Are Massive Radio Show” Live every week on M2o.
In February 2013, the Get Over Records e “If I Ever” is the first single.
December 2015 marks the Mario Get Far Fargetta's return to “Radio deejay” alongside his friend Albertino every day from 2 to 4 p.m. In the meantime, he continues to travel around Italy and the world with his electrifying and enthusiastic DJ sets, always performing the best of the music scene!
