Opening the review, which will take place in the Civic Library, at 16.30, will be the presentation of the book “Timeless Elizabeth.” (2016, Sperling&Kupfer) by. Antonio Caprarica.

The journalist and writer traces in the biography, enhanced by a photo insert, the downfalls and triumphs of more than sixty years of the reign of Elizabeth Alexandra Mary Windsor and investigates the magic surrounding the British monarchy.

Antonio Caprarica, who has had multiple opportunities to meet the sovereign, explored her story starting with her birth at the London house on Bruton Street, April 21, 1926, and her childhood spent at Buckingham Palace with her grandparents.
He followed Elizabeth on her youthful travels with Philip and into the rooms where, at just twenty-six, she learned the art of reigning.
He observed her on official occasions and in family crises reconstructed through court indiscretions. He has chronicled her, in a meticulous and very tasty portrait, in the solemn coronation ceremony, in the daily routine of royal residences and in raids in the company of dogs and horses.
Antonio Caprarica has accumulated his vast international experience over 30 years of television reporting from abroad: for RAI he was first a war correspondent in Afghanistan and Iraq, then a correspondent from Jerusalem, Cairo, Moscow, Paris and London.
He has also worked in the print media, as a political commentator for L'Unità and Epoca and co-director of Paese Sera, and in radio, as director of Rai Radio Newspapers and Radio Uno.
He has received the most prestigious journalism awards for his work.
