Thursday, August 18, a Loano, music in the square from the balcony and on the seafront. The calendar of events promoted by the’Department of Tourism, Culture and Sports of the City of Loano offers two live music events.Simona BriozzoAt 9 p.m., Palestro Square will host the exhibition “Concerts from the Balcony.”. The ensemble will be the star of the evening. InTrio consisting of Simona Briozzo (voice), Marco Cravero (guitar), Federico Fugassa (low).

The trio, who will follow the concert on the balcony above the Gelateria Popolare, will offer a small tribute to Ivano Fossati.

Simona Briozzo will perform some of the most famous songs by the Genoese singer-songwriter with intense expressiveness, accompanied by an acoustic ensemble featuring Marco Cravero on guitar, Federico Fugassa The arrangement of the songs by the three musicians will highlight the poetry contained in Fossati's lyrics and offer an evening in the company of songs that have made Italian music history.

Fully trained musician and singer, Simona Briozzo  has collaborated with internationally renowned jazz musicians including Riccardo Zegna, Simone Monnanni, Fabrizio Trullu, Loris Tarantino. Marco Cravero has collaborated with big names in Italian music such as Francesco De Gregori and Lucio Dalla. Federico Fugassa, a multi-instrumentalist with a background in pop-funk and jazz, has collaborated with various singer-songwriters both in the studio and in live performances.

U gunbu_0001Always at 21.00, on the waterfront, in Maccagli Garden, the folk group returns to perform “U Gunbu de Löa Verzi”.

The concert will be dedicated to Italian folk and traditional songs. The most famous ones will be performed. Ligurian dialect songs: “A Noscia Föa,” “Fuxe de Zena,” “Ma se ghe pensu,” “O Lidin o lidena,” O Trallallero,” “Quarto a-o ma,” “Trilli genovesi,” “U campanin,” “Voggiu Savei.”.

The evening's program will also include chants of tradition of the other Italian regions such as “Amici miei,” “Eulalia Torricelli,” “L'uva Fogarina,” “La Spagnola,” “O mia bela Madunina,” “Piemontesina,” “Reginella Campagnola,” and “Vecchio scarpone.”.

The Gunbu Music Group de Löa Verzi combines a passion for folk music traditions and Italian dialect songs with Desire to raise funds for solidarity projects. Through the sale of their music CD, this year the group raised one thousand two hundred euros which were donated to the project “Villa Amico… for the Day After Tomorrow” e at the Giannina Gaslini Pediatric Institute in Genoa.
