Tuesday, August 2, a Loano at 9:30 pm, in the’Prince's Garden Summer Arena, the documentary film will be screened “Where to?” by Luca Bich

The evening dedicated to the mountaineer Kurt Diemberger is part of the second edition of the festival dedicated to documentary films on the environment and landscape, promoted by the’Department of Tourism, Culture and Sports of the City of Loano and organized by the I.So THeatre, in collaboration with the CAI of Loano.

A major figure in contemporary mountaineering, Kurt Diemberger He is the only living climber to have made two first ascents of peaks over eight thousand meters: Broad Peak in Karakoram in 1957 and Dhaulagiri in Nepal in 1960.

Since the late 1960s, Diemberger has combined his passion for the mountains with his work as an explorer, writer, director, and high-altitude documentary filmmaker.

Luca Bich's film follows him on his travels through his native Austria, the Dolomites, and the streets of Genoa and Bologna, his adopted city, recording his memories, emotions, thoughts, and reflections on the past and future.

 Luca Bich He graduated in documentary filmmaking from the DAMS in Bologna. In 1992, he conceived and organized Filmontagna, a traveling film festival for the valleys of Valle d'Aosta, and in 1995, he started Strade del Cinema, which became an international silent film festival with live music. He began his amateur video work in 1990 with the Videogiornale della facoltà occupata (Video Journal of the Occupied Faculty). Since 2007, he has been artistic director, together with Luisa Montrosset, of the new Cervino CineMountain Festival. His works include: La plume de l'ours (2006); Per genti e per ghiacci (2006).

His films, which have been presented and won awards at numerous international festivals, include. The bear's feather (2006), By genti and by ices (2006), A Menestrel (2010), The Mont Blanc Tunnel – The Logical Dream (2015), Pepino's Back!(2015).
