Thursday, July 28, a Loano, Renato Pozzetto will be a guest on the cabaret season in’Prince's Garden Summer Arena, promoted by the’Department of Tourism, Culture and Sports of the City of Loano and curated by the I.So THeatre with the artistic direction of Luca Malvicini.

From 9:30 p.m., Renato Pozzetto will give two hours of surprising comedy with “Since the other one is busy” A show that sees him as the sole performer in a new and original theatrical experiment: cinecabaret.

An artistic journey spanning 10 years of cabaret, 15 years of theater, and 30 years of cinema. A journey through all his most famous laughs with video projections and commentary, both unpublished and live, from some of his most famous cinematic successes.
Reasonings, gags, and moments of great cabaret will allow us to retrace the entire artistic career from the beginnings, with the Milan Derby, to all the great collaborations and friendships of the years to follow.

The novelty of this show lies in its ability to combine two very different forms of entertainment: cinema and cabaret. It alternates between moments of great comedy drawn from his traditional repertoire, with his timeless style of sketches and jokes from the theater of the absurd, and screenings of short clips from his funniest films.
Music will be an essential part of the evenings, performed live by a four-piece orchestra and accompanied by timeless evergreen songs such as “Bella bionda,” “La vita l'è bela,” and “Nebbia in Val Padana.”.

Renato Pozzetto He is one of Italy's most beloved comedians, thanks above all to his surreal and eccentric style.

A Milanese by adoption, Pozzetto made his debut as a comedian in the Lombard city, where he met all his major collaborators and shot countless films.

After studying at a technical institute, he immediately embarked on a career in cabaret, forming the duo “Cochi and Renato”.

After the couple's television success, Pozzetto made his film debut in Flavio Mogherini's Per amare Ofèlia (1974), where he first showcased his alienating acting style characterized by silence, awkward gestures, and fixed stares.

After the great success of the first film followed by many others, Pozzetto managed to build up a legacy of films made of melancholy and laughter in a truly personal blend.

Alberto Lattuada offered him the opportunity to break away from his comic roles. He then starred in Oh Serafina (1976), in which he played an industrialist who ends up in a mental hospital because of his ambitious wife. In the same year, Salvatore Samperi called him to star in Sturmtruppen, the film version of Bonvi's famous comic strip. In 1987, he starred alongside Carlo Verdone in 7 chili in 7 giorni and in 1990 with Paolo Villaggio in the film Le comiche.

In 2005, the duo “Cochi and Renato” reunited to return to television on Canale 5 as special guests and authors of the theme song for the hilarious “Zelig Circus.”.
