Saturday, June 25, Loano welcomes the arrival of summer with a big music festival that will enliven the squares and streets of the city center.
From 8 p.m. curtain will rise on the eighth edition ofWhite night, the long entertainment marathon, promoted by the’Department of Tourism, Culture and Sports of the City of Loano in collaboration with the’ASCOM Loano.
Music, tastings, and shopping will once again be the ingredients of one of the most eagerly awaited events of the summer in Loano, which attracts thousands of people every year.
In this edition, the concert by Umberto Tozzi, curated by the social cooperative I.So THeatre.
From 20.00, From east to west, nine music stations will come alive simultaneously along the seafront. Starting from Marina di Loano, there will be a succession of live music areas. On Rome Course, live music at the Bar Novecento,musical aperitif at Coffee Empire and timeless rock at Bar Class where the Many Keens. Continuing westward the Bar Vittorino will feature the band Into The Groove with the Madonna Tribute animated by dancers.
L’Olivier's Pub will host the pop-punk and rock cover band 4 Real, lo cultural space Maccagli Garden will feature the historic group Kiss Me Wanda with a pop rock repertoire from the 80s to today and music from the 70s/80s will be offered at the Bar Rino by Massimo Spinetti.
The last live music venue on the seafront will be set up at the Chersicla Fountain.
Music also in the downtown, with a succession of musical offerings. In Place Massena the interpreter Chimerawill perform a tribute to Emma, in Ghilini Street the Award-winning Cotton Mill will perform a wide repertoire of Italian music. Two stations will come alive in via Garibaldi: the first will host The Soundwoods Acoustic Trio, a 70s/80s rock cover band, and the second is an acoustic jazz and soul duo. Simona Briozzo & Marco.
Continuing eastward, in Star Street will play the rock band Vespu Surdu and then fortress square i Free WillWill present a tribute to the disco music of the 70s and 80s.
Music also in Boragine Street and in Palestro Square where the acoustic trio will perform NI.CO who will perform an international pop repertoire.
In Cavour Street, in the Caruggi Orbi and in course Europe the marching band will play Sbanday Street Band and in Richeri Streetthe Overpass and the Vinaio will host the show Penelope Please Drag Queen.
The highlight of the evening will feature 22.30, in Italy Square, Umberto Tozzi. The Turin-based artist will have the audience singing and dancing along to his unforgettable hits and will perform songs from his latest album.
The artistic career of Umberto Tozzi began in the 1970s, first as a songwriter (in 1971, the song ’Un corpo un'anima“ written with Damiano Dattoli and performed by Wess and Dori Ghezzi won Canzonissima, while in 1976, the song ”Io camminerò“ was made famous by Fausto Leali) and then as a singer-songwriter with the unforgettable: ”I Love You“, one of Tozzi's most famous songs, which rose to number one in the charts and remained there for seven months, breaking all sales records.“You” and above all “Gloria” which is perhaps Tozzi's biggest hit in Italy and worldwide.
Umberto Tozzi's success continued in the following years with great songs such as “Pink Night“, “Eva“, “Sea People”(sung with Raf),“You can give more”(which, sung together with Gianni Morandi and Enrico Ruggeri, won the 1987 Sanremo Festival),“The others are us” and other songs that made Umberto Tozzi famous, a singer-songwriter who, like few others, was able to combine quality with great popular success. During his career, he has sold more than seventy-five million records worldwide.
In 2015, after almost three years away from the music scene, the Turin-based artist returned to the recording studio with a new project featuring previously unreleased tracks: “But what a spectacle”.
