The work consists of remastered CDs of Come è profondo il mare (1977), Lucio Dalla (1979), and Dalla (1980), a book with unpublished photos and testimonials, and a DVD of the hard-to-find film Banana Republic.

The three albums are the first three works that marked the beginning of Dalla's success as a songwriter after his long collaboration with Roberto Roversi.

In addition to the three discs, “Trilogia” also contains a book that recounts the context in which the albums were conceived, through a photographic journey with unpublished images and 14 stories written by producers, musicians, critics, journalists, record producers, directors, and photographers who knew the great singer-songwriter closely.

The book was edited by the music journalist and radio host (Rai Radio 1 – Music Club). John Vignola who collected testimonies from Ron, Renzo Arbore, Maria Laura Giulietti, Gino Castaldo, Michele Mondella, photographers Fausto Ristori and Ambrogio Lo Giudice, among others.

Finally, the box set contains the DVD of the rare documentary dedicated to “Banana Republic,” the tour that in the summer of 1979 brought Dalla, Francesco De Gregori, and Ron to perform in stadiums throughout Italy, from which the live album of the same name was also taken. On that occasion, a film was shot, directed by Ottavio Fabbri, which was believed to have been lost. Trilogia revives that authentic document.
