It promises to be a spring of major events at Loano. The city is ready to welcome tourists with a rich program of initiatives, promoted by the’Department of Tourism, Culture and Sports of the City of Loano In collaboration with Loano associations.
At April, Loano will relive the passage of young General Bonaparte with the gathering of re-enactment (April 8/10), organized by the’51eme Demi Brigade de Bataille Association, which will bring historical reenactors from all over Europe to the city to commemorate the battles of the Napoleonic period (1796). The program will offer moments of historical insight with a conference and an exhibition on “The Battle of Loano,” a reenactment of the clashes between soldiers in the streets of the city, and a party in the square with music and dances from the period. In addition, throughout the weekend, historical reenactors will be available for meetings and guided tours to teach visitors about the history of the Napoleonic Wars and the daily life of soldiers of the time.

The calendar of events, at June, includes the Alpini festival “Alpine Soldier of the Year” (June 17/19) with a parade in the city of the Alpine troops, a traveling concert by the Monte Beigua Fanfare, and performances by the Monte Cauriol Choir and the Orobica Fanfare at the Giardino del Principe. The space dedicated to music will open with an event related to the City of Loano National Award for Italian Traditional Music. The April 2 The Civic Library will host the Northwest Italy regional selection for the music competition “Suonare a Folkest – Premio Alberto Cesa.” The artists who will compete in the live performance are: Domo Emigrantes, Lorenzo Malvezzi and Fooga&Nico.

Afternoons of entertainment for young and old alike will feature colorful parades of artists and shows featuring acrobats and clowns.
Loano spring will also offer a review dedicated to the taste. The city's cultural and sports associations have put together a calendar of single-theme festivals, which will take place on the seafront, near the Casetta dei Lavoratori del Mare (Sea Workers' House). Those who love culinary delights should not miss these events: the 23 e April 24 the St. Mary Immaculate Music Association will organize.
