The YEPP Association Loano in collaboration with the’Department of Youth Policy of the City of Loano initiated the participatory planning process for the planning of youth center activities for the 2016.
Over the past few months YEPP Loano has collected through two days of meetings with Falcone Institute children and a pathway of involvement with Mazzini-Ramella Middle School children requests for activities from local youth.
From January 29 to 31 registration will be open to participate in the design. The Feb. 5 and 6 will get into the thick of project writing, and the proposals that have received the most support will be developed.
“The birth of the YEPP Loano Association," explains Councillor Luca Lettieri - paved the way for the “mature” phase of the YEPP pathway. Participatory planning with local youth remains a central element in choosing the activities that will be implemented in the youth center. And that is why as early as November the young people of the’Falcone Institute and of the’Mazzini-Ramella Secondary School. for gathering needs and proposals. The planning will also involve alongside the young people some school teachers, practitioners from the Youth Counseling Center of Loano Asl 2 and of the Youth Policy of the City of Loano and representatives of associations.”
The activities of interest of young people that emerged from the interviews and questionnaires were mainly in the area of leisure and aggregation, and small actions to influence youth policies also emerged.
Children may decide to design courses (music, singing, photography, video, drawing and comics, mountain biking, theater, reusing clothing and objects for fashion, economics and political situation, creative writing, film history, music or theater, drones, bicycle repair, web radio, anger management) and leisure activities (international cultural exchanges, concerts, piercing and tatoo conventions, artist meetings, studio area, music rehearsal room, film screenings, dance nights and swing dance workshops).
The activities with the highest design adherence will be implemented.
Registrations will be collected on the 29,30,31 January from 3 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. in the Kursaal Palace (YEPP room).
