Loano is among the 70 municipalities in Liguria, which will be included in the online platform of the “Petal System”, sponsored by ANCI Liguria, Liguria Region e Unioncamere.
The project aims to promote typical and quality Ligurian agri-food products as a key to enhancing the area and its production, tourism and cultural values.
There are more than 20 companies reported by the City of Loano and met with the Vice Mayor Remo Zaccaria. In fact, the first phase of the project involves the census of traditional and typical local products and the identification of producing companies.
“The Sistema Petalo project represents an important opportunity to promote and boost the local economy. - Explains Vice Mayor Remo Zaccaria - Starting with our agri-food excellence, the online platform will make our territory visible and promote it both nationally and internationally. In fact, the intent of the project is to publicize traditional Ligurian products, highlight the territories connected to the products, and signal to the public the businesses that offer the products surveyed.”
The multilingual website will be usable through all mobile devices and will allow users to search for traditional products, territories and related businesses.
In addition to the site, signage will also be set up to point out businesses directly in the area.
