Tuesday, September 15, a Loano, the 18th Festival of Protected Residences, promoted by the’Department of Social Services of the City of Loano, in collaboration with the’AVO (Hospital Volunteer Association).

The guests of the Protected residences “Ramella” of Loano, “Ruffini” of Finale Ligure and “Santo Spirito” of Pietra Ligure will gather, in the Solar Field area of Gozzano Street in Loano, to spend a day outdoors with entertainment and music.

The day's program will include at 11 a.m. play and entertainment activities by AVO volunteers. The morning will close with lunch in the covered area of the Solar Camp.

In the afternoon, from 14.00, the festival will also be open to the townspeople, for a concert by the group “U Gunbu de Löa Verzi”, which will perform a wide repertoire dedicated to Italian folk songs.The folk group will present Ligurian dialect songs-“A Noscia Föa,” “Fuxe de Zena,” “Ma se ghe pensu,” “O Lidin o lidena,” ”O Trallallero,“ ”Quarto a-o ma,“ ”Trilli genovesi,“ ”U campanin. “Voggiu Savei,”-along with some of the best-known traditional songs from atre regions of Italy-“Amici miei,” “Eulalia torricelli,” “L'uva Fogarina,” “La Spagnola,” “O mia bela Madunina,” “Piemontesina.”.

“The celebration of the Protected Residences, which will be open in the afternoon to all citizens," explains the Councillor for Social Services, Luca Lettieri  - “represents an invitation not to lose contact with the residents of the nursing home. I hope that many Loano residents will decide to participate in the initiative, keeping the bond with our elderly alive. My thanks go to the AVO volunteers who are present in the facilities and whose work fosters social and rehabilitative activities for the guests.”
