Thursday, September 10, the appointments of Loano not only sea,the excursion program curated by the Loanese Section of the C.A.I.. with the contribution and sponsorship of the Municipality of Loano.

Outdoor walkers will be offered the route from the Our Lady of the Guard of Calice Ligure will lead to the argentiferous galena mines of the bric Gettina, from which silver has been mined since the time of the Del Carretto marquises.

Departure is at 8:30 a.m.. The meeting place is in Valerga Square  (market square).

For non-members CAI is compulsory nominative accident insurance, to be taken out by calling Laura Panicucci tel. 019 672366, cell. 349 7854220, if absent Elena Ghiglione cell. 333 9384941, by 12 noon the day before the excursion. Without Insurance you will not be able to participate in the hike. Participants must have appropriate footwear and clothing suitable for the ’mountain environment. The trip leaders will not admit those who do not have the proper requirements.

Always the Sept. 10, at 18.00, in Italy Square, l’ “Mediterranean” Association” will welcome with its guides all those who wish to join the guided excursion to discover the city. Participation is by free offer. For reservations and information: cell. 333 1933968.

Finally, at the 21.00, in fortress square the video “DON LUIGI GIUSSANI 1922-2005” on the life of the Desio priest, distributed by Corriere della Sera. The documentary, through interviews, speeches and rare archival images, offers Don Giussani's thought.

The initiative is part of the side events of the exhibition “From my life to yours”, dedicated to Fr. Luigi Giussani (1922/2005) on the 10th anniversary of his death, which will remain on display in Doria Palace until Sept. 13 p.m..

The exhibition, with free admission, presents in a 14-panel itinerary the basic features of the history and work of the founder of the church movement Communion and Liberation, with images and significant excerpts from his life. The exhibit can be visited daily from 6 to 9 p.m. and guided tours will be available upon request.
