Thursday, September 3, returns after the summer break, Loano not only sea,the excursion program curated by the Loanese Section of the C.A.I.. with the contribution and sponsorship of the Municipality of Loano.
Arrived at the twenty-first editionLoano not only sea, offers a once-a-week excursion to explore the beautiful Ligurian landscape and beyond.
The walks led by members of the Loanese Section of C.A.I are totally free of charge and can be enjoyed by everyone, at any age.
The September 3 the program offers the excursion to the Pesalto Mountain, along the Highlands Trail. Starting point of the hike will be the Balestrino Glue (mt.656). From here with a beautiful path and a wide view of the Blue Valley you will reach Ceresa Peak (714) and then the Pesalto Mountain (686). The loop trail will return to the starting point, touching on the Balestrino Sanctuary.
Thursday, September 10 Lovers of outdoor walking will be offered the route from the Our Lady of the Guard of Calice Ligure will lead to the argentiferous galena mines of the bric Gettina, from which silver has been mined since the time of the Del Carretto marquises.
The September 17 you will walk along the Via delle Cappelle in the Arroscia Valley. Starting point will be Lovegno (Pieve di Teco), from here you will reach Colla Domenica where on the beautiful meadowy saddle stands the small church dedicated to the Madonna della Neve. Continuing across the mountainside, one will reach the road that climbs and reaches the shrine dedicated to SS. Cosma and Damiano. A couple of hairpin bends will then make it possible to reach the Chapel of the Madonna del Monte.
Sept. 24, Loano not only sea will lead to the Fountain of Souls (mt. 984) with a hike that will start from Calizzano. The route along the Via delle Giaire will lead to the Crinale della Crocetta, a beautiful viewpoint. From here it will descend to the Fonte delle Anime.
The series of excursions will continue until the Dec. 17.
Departure is at 8:30 a.m.. The meeting place is in Valerga Square (market square).
For non-members CAI is compulsory nominative accident insurance, to be taken out by calling Laura Panicucci tel. 019 672366, cell. 349 7854220, if absent Elena Ghiglione cell. 333 9384941, by 12 noon the day before the excursion. Without Insurance you will not be able to participate in the excursion.
Participants should have appropriate footwear and clothing suitable for the ’mountain environment. Trip leaders will not admit those who do not have the proper requirements.
