Saturday, August 29, in the’Prince's Garden Summer Arena, at 21.30, the “STARS IN DANCE” GRAND GALA” will close the festival Labat Loano Dance, dance review promoted by the’Department of Tourism, Culture and Sports of the City of Loano Edited by master choreographer Gino Labate and by the dancer, teacher and choreographer Emanuela Campiciano.
International guests honored by the festival, winners of the “A Dancing People” competition, interns will dance.
Also featured as guests of the evening will be the dancers Giulia Lampredi, Eleonora Di Vita, Angelo Egarese of Emox Ballet Company, who will perform choreography by Beatrice Paoleschi.
Finally, they will dance Camilla Cerulli and Davide Pietroniro, Roberta Siciliano, Francesca Capacci, Jolie Lombardo (guest from America Atlanta). During the evening the “Giuliana Penzi ”2015 Grand Prix will be presented to Christine Dakin (Lifetime Achievement Award),Lazaro Carreño (Lifetime Achievement Award), Beatrice Paoleschi (Promotion in Dance Award),Camilla Cerulli (Talent Award).
The evening is at FREE ADMISSION.
Christine Dakin, American dancer, teacher and director, is an exponent of the Martha Graham school. Dakin is known for her interpretations of Graham's roles and those created for her by Martha Graham herself and artists such as Robert Wilson, Twyla Tharp and Martha Clarke. She has performed in major theaters around the world, with the likes of Rudolf Nureyev.
Lazaro Carreño
He began his studies in the National School of the Arts “Cubanacín” and by the third year was awarded a scholarship to finish his training in the Agrippina Vaganova choreographic school in Leningrad, USSR. At the end of his studies he joined the National Ballet of Camaguey and after one year the National Ballet of Cuba, with which he traveled all over the world. Lazaro Carreño studied with Alexander Sergeevic, Pushkin, Josefina Mendez, Anna Petrovna Sajjacva, Victor Mijaiiovlch, Tulublov Semenon, Solomonovich Caplan. He has been invited to dance as a guest dancer in the Mexican Ballet of Fine Arts, the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theatre, the French Arenas di Dimiez Festival, the International Ballet of Caracas, and the Ballet Theatre of Rio Brasil.
Beatrice Paoleschi studied at the Centro Studi Danza in Florence of Cristina Bozzolini and Lilia Bertelli, both ballet and contemporary dance with the most prestigious Masters. He has danced as a soloist in the most important theaters in Italy and abroad with companies such as: Balletto di Toscana, Balletto Italiano with Carla Fracci, Micha Van Hoeke Company, Opus Ballet, Florence Dance Company, Miosotis Dans Group. He is dedicated to choreographic creation and since 2008 has contributed to the creation of high-level performances in collaboration with the Accademia Teatrale di Firenze, directed by Pietro Bartolini. At the end of 2010 he founded the EmoX Contemporary Ballet Company.
Camilla Cerulli, class of 1999, a young promise of dance, is currently attending the National Academy of Dance in Rome.
