Tuesday, Aug. 4, a Loano, accomplice to the good marine weather forecast, the initiative will take place. Torches in the night, organized by the S.I.B. of Loano (Italian Bathing Union) under the sponsorship of the’Department of Tourism, Culture and Sports and of the’State Property Department of the City of Loano.
The event, postponed last week due to heavy seas, will keep to the announced schedule. Kicking off the event at sea will be at 8 p.m., on the beach of the Medusa Baths, rescue simulations by dogs from the SICS (Italian School of Rescue Dogs) school.
After rehearsals by four-legged rescuers, the evening will continue with demonstrations by lifeguards from the S.I.B. of Loano who will simulate rescue operations at sea.
Reporting live on what will happen on the beach will be stand-up comedian Renzo Sinacori.
At 21.45, the sea will light up. It will be the lifeguards on the lifeboats who will light the torches that will make the sea glow. A symbolic gesture to greet tourists and emphasize the focus on “safety at sea” by Loano's marine bathhouses.
The evening will continue with the DJ-Set by Aldo Ricci And a tasty barbecue.
