Thursday, July 23, a Loano, the calendar of events, promoted by the’Department of Tourism, Culture and Sports of the City of Loano, offers a double musical event.

At 9 p.m.,in the’ Oratory of Our Lady of the Rosary (Cappe Turchine) will take place the concert of the City of Loano Polyphonic Choir, which will perform the “Stabat Mater” by Sicilian composer Emanuel Rincón of Astorga and the “Mass” by Austrian author Franz Joseph Haydn.

The performance of the two famous pieces will feature soloists from the choir: Manuela Delrio, Ivonne Baptists (soprano), Margherita Battisti, Anna Soave (contralto), Luigi Muratorio (tenor), Simone Delmonte (bass). The sacred music vocal concert will be accompanied by the quartet consisting of 1st and 2nd violin, viola, cello, double bass, organ. Director of the choir will be the Master Mattia Pelosi.

Always at 21.00, on the Waterfront, in Maccagli Garden, a concert by folk music group will be held. U Gunbu de Löa- Verzi. Formed by enthusiasts who promote the popular music tradition and Italian dialect song, the group will perform a wide-ranging repertoire, spanning the best-known melodies of the Italian dialect repertoire: from “Ma se ghe pensu” to ”Creuza de ma.”.
