The exhibition entitled “For its Landscaping where Poetry is intertwined with Nature” will be set up in the historic setting of the Mosaic Hall of the Doria Palace. It can be visited daily from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and 4 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. until the July 30. Free admission.

In the Marina of Loano it will also be possible to admire the exhibition “Versus sea” organized by the St. Frances Roman Foundation and from the Trust Floridi Doria Pamphiljin collaboration with The Navy of Loano. The exhibition brings together archaeological finds and medieval works of art from the Doria church of Santa Maria in Cappella in the Genoese quarter of Rome. These are unique and extraordinary pieces such as the altar (1090) with its reliquaries dating back to the pontificate of Urban II. While the medieval content of the exhibition is not directly connected to the history of the medieval Ligurian Dorias, it helps to express the Crusader origins of the three families and investigates the long history of the Church of Trastevere by tracing the incredible adventure of the Italian aristocratic houses from the year 1000 until its collapse. A dozen marbles that make up the furnishings of the Church Santa Maria in Cappella sul Tevere, the recomposed cathedra with a trapezophore from the imperial period, the cosmatesque style ambo and a marvelous holy water stoup from the time of Frederick II probably transferred from Melfi to Rome in the early twentieth century will be on display. The exhibits express the great aptitude of the European Middle Ages for travel seen as openness to the new and the overcoming of limits, especially through the pilgrimage to the holy land and the important role the Church on the banks of the Tiber played in that adventure: versus mare.

The project dedicated to the Floridi Doria and Pamphilj families also includes a play space, skating rink, and the setting up of the Princess Tent.

The cost of the ticket is euro 6.00 and includes a visit to the Princess Tent, the “Versus Mare” exhibition and free skating access. The exhibition will remain open until the September 6, from 7 p.m. to midnight, every day except Tuesdays.
