Tuesday, July 14, on the strand of Loano will take place the 29th edition by Budding architects, sand building competition sponsored by the’Department of Tourism, Culture and Sports of the City of Loano in cooperation with the Syndicate Marine Baths of Loano and the cooperative I.So Theatre.
Protagonists of the initiative, included in the review “Family-friendly Loano”, will be the children, who will turn into little architects for a day and try their hand at building imaginative and elaborate sand constructions.
Aided by their parents, they will be able to use only natural materials: sand, water, stones, shells and seaweed. The working tools will be shovels, buckets and of course lots of imagination.
The beach activity will kick off in the morning: children will first design the works and then try their hand at building the many sand sculptures. In the afternoon, from 3 p.m., the sandcastles will be screened by a careful jury.
The names of the winners of the sand building contest will be announced Wednesday, July 15, as of 9 p.m, at Architects in the Grass Party, which will take place in the’Prince's Garden Summer Arena.
