“The summer solar camp is confirmed again for this year," says Mayor Luigi Pignocca - an important service especially for children and young people whose parents are engaged in work. We have chosen again for this year to approve subsidized rates for those who belong to the lowest income brackets: those with an ISEE of less than € 4,132 are eligible for the reduction and the seasonal fee will be € 100.00. For everyone, a discount of 30% will be applied on the second child enrolled and 60% on the third child enrolled and subsequent others. We thus aure to be able to give concrete support to Loogan families.”
“The Children's Summer 2015," says Councillor. Luca Lettieri - will offer, from Monday to Friday, leisure and fun activities in a peaceful and holiday atmosphere. The activity has been organized taking into account the different age groups. The youngest will carry out the activity in the “S. Stella” kindergarten, the older ones will have at their disposal the beach, the green area in Via Gozzano, the swimming pool and the Sports Hall. Following the educational activities will be the social cooperative City of Savona Project, which is part of the Social Consortium The Sextant, the successful bidder for the solar field.”
The Project City Cooperative for the summer of 2015 put the focus of its activities aimed at children and youth at Solar Camp a path of play and adventure under the banner of travel.
The goal is to stimulate children through fun and discovery to engage with the experience of travel and traveling, having identified in it elements of leisure, adventure and joy fully integrated with strong educational value.
THE PROJECT.
What does one do to set out on a journey?, what happens during a journey?, when we return what remains of our journey? These are the three main moments around which all activities both play and movement activities and graphic painting workshops will revolve, and of course the many field trips.
The activities that will be proposed specifically will be those of orienteering in the Loano area that will allow the youngest children discovery, exploration and conquest of the places in their town. The playful-training path will lay the foundations for autonomy in movement that is experienced by the children as an experience that develops and supports self-esteem.
Exchanges and travel with other solar camps will be promoted so that encounters with different realities of youth and territories can be experienced.
Children and young people will use photography to tell the story of their travels, and an exhibition will be organized at the end of the summer to collect all the images
The theme of travel will also be proposed through the stories of the most famous novels for children: Alice in Wonderland, Gulliver, Mr. Foog attempting to travel around the world in 80 days, Doroty traveling by meeting new friends in the Kingdom of Oz, the characters of Journey to the Center of the Earth, Lyra traveling by helping herself with her golden compass, and Columbus discovering America.
These characters will be the protagonists of the final show that will engage children and young people in a performance that will animate in the streets and squares of downtown Loano.
