Saturday, April 25, a Loano, alongside the commemoration ceremony of Liberation Day, the calendar of events promoted by the’Department of Tourism, Culture and Sports of the City of Loano proposes exhibitions, markets and tastings.
In the Hall Mosaic of Palazzo Doria you can visit the exhibition entitled “1945 - 2015, 70th Anniversary Liberation of Loano”, organized by the Loano section “Renato Boragine” of the’National Association of Partisans of Italy under the auspices of the Municipality of Loano. The exhibition promoted on the occasion of the 70th Anniversary of the Liberation of Loano, brings together photographs, documents, articles, and testimonies on the Resistance lived in the Loano area and its hinterland, the fallen Partisans, episodes of the war (bombings, mines on the beach, etc.), racial laws (original documents from the Loano archives on racial persecution) and measures against Jews at Loano. In the exhibition itinerarythere are original documents and posters of the Liberation, drawings by the third grade students of the Mazzini-Ramella Secondary School. The exhibition will be open from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and from 4 to 7 p.m.
Always Saturday, April 25, on the Garassino Garbarino waterfront, a special edition of the market of the’Antiquities and Collectibles. From 9 at 20.00, exhibitors will present antiques, curiosities and grandma's things. On the market stalls you will be able to find not only many curiosities of yesteryear but also collectibles and modern items with vintage characteristic of the 1960s and 1970s. There will be furniture, paintings, drawings, prints, sculptures, objets d'art, carpets, textiles, lace, ceramics and art artifacts.
From 10.00 at 19.30, Palestro Square will host Crafts in the square, the craft and artists' market. The small square in the heart of the historic center will come alive with the presence of artists working directly in front of the public. Artisans will be present with painted ceramics, wood-carved objects, painted glass, bags and belts made from leather, decupage and art jewelry.
Finally, on the G. Garrassini Garbarino waterfront, near the Sea Workers' Cottage, the initiative will take place. “Frizzé and Mangia”. You will be able to taste the “friscêu”, the typical Ligurian pancakes: sweet and savory. An unmissable event for those who love the pleasures of the palate. The initiative under the banner of taste will continue until the April 26. The booths will open from 11:30 a.m.
