Thursday, February 12,a Loano, to the 3:30 pm, at Ballroom of the Protected Residence A. Ramella will stage the play “1945-Selling Illusion.“, sponsored by the’Department of Social Services of the City of Loano and organized by the volunteers of the’A.V.O. (Volunteer Hospital Association).
The performers of Miriana Ronchetti's two acts are. six guests of the Loano nursing home, who participated in the theater project promoted by A.V.O. volunteers and carried out in collaboration with an animator from the cooperative ISO THEATRE.ONLUS.
The idea of bringing theater to the nursing home dates back to 2011. Since then as many as six shows have been staged including the one that will debut Thursday.
“The residential facility," says Alderman Lettieri - focuses, as far as possible, on rehabilitative care aimed at maintaining the abilities of individual residents and, where possible, at partial or total recovery of lost abilities. The goal is to offer people the best quality of life, and to this end, the facility is staffed not only by the professionals provided for by lawbut also by volunteers from the A.V.O.. With their assiduous presence and special sensitivity they acknowledge the needs of all guests, participate in the animation activities. The theater activity fits into this framework. We invite the citizenry to attend the performance, which will be an opportunity to spend some time in the company of the guests of the nursing home.’
