Friday, 26th December, a Loano, the review “Heavenly Musings, promoted by the’Department of Tourism, Culture and Sports of the City of Loano offers the concert of the Privitera duo - Minutes.
At hours 16.30,at Mount Carmel Church, some of the most celebrated pieces of the sacred repertoire will be performed,in a flute and piano version.
Alessia Privitera on transverse flute and Gianpaolo Minuti on the piano will perform compositions by J.S. Bach, F. Schubert, G.F. Händel, G.P. da Palestrina, G. Caccini, L.G. da Viadana.
Lacoppia of musicians from Savona will present for the occasion the antiphon “Haec est Regina Virginum.“, composed by G.F. Haendel specifically for the Virgin of Mount Carmel.
Alessia Privitera, born in Savona in 1987, a graduate of the “N. Paganini” Conservatory of Genoa, began the study of transverse flute under the guidance of M° Giovanni Lagorio at the SMS ad indirizzo musicale “B. Guidobono”. She continued her studies with M° Lagorio first as a former student of the SMS “B. Guidobono” and then since 2005 as a student at the “Ferrato - Cilea” Music Academy in Savona. She took part in masterclasses held by M° Raffaele Trevisani in the years 2005/2006/2010. In June 2009, she obtained a license in theory and solfeggio at the “Ferrato - Cilea” Music Academy in collaboration with the “A. Vivaldi” Conservatory of Alessandria. On Sept. 22, 2010, he obtained as a private student the lower flute diploma with a score of 8/10 at the “Ghedini” Conservatory of Cuneo. She is currently a member of the singer-songwriter groups Chalk&Cheese and Clan Destino and co-founder with Gianpaolo Minuti of the classical-modern flute and piano duo Privitera-Minuti.
Gianpaolo Minuti, born in Savona in 1984. Graduated in jazz double bass at the ISSM Conservatory of Music “G.F. Ghedini” in Cuneo under M.i (among others) R. Zegna, E. Negro. At the same conservatory he studied classical double bass under M° P. Borsarelli. Initiated to the study of string instruments and in particular viola and double bass by M. P. Venturino, he studied electric bass at the Musical Academy of Finale with M. Dedoni from 2005 to 2009. At the turn of 2000 he studied violin and viola under M° M. Patetta. As for piano he studied for a few years with M° S. Folco continuing in parallel and still studying the instrument and repertoire with M° Olga Benini. As an autodidact he perfected his studies on electric instruments, synthesizers, electronic and computer equipment for music processing. From 2000 to the present, he has been a member of numerous classical and light music groups with whom he has performed numerous times both live and in the studio and can be found as a session player; he regularly participates in jazz jam sessions; he is currently a member of the group “Clan Destino” as a double bassist and electric bassist; he is co-founder with flutist Alessia Privitera of the classical-modern flute and piano duo Privitera-Minuti.
