The Christmas enchantments will animate the city of Loano In the holiday season. L’Department of Tourism, Culture and Sports of the City of Loano has prepared a full calendar of events to accompany the festive days.

On the program will be concerts, book presentations, Christmas markets, family initiatives, nativity scenes, sporting events. Also confirmed is the traditional winter sea dive and the spectacular fireworks.

New this year will be the New Year's Eve in the Square, a great end-of-year show in the company of the host of Radio Deejay Mauro Miclini, DJ Cugi and Italian rapper ENSI.

The Dec. 5, Loano will turn on theA Thousand Lights of the Holidays. The party will involve at 14.00, in Italy Square, the pupils of the’Comprehensive Institute Loano-Boissanowho will perform a concert of Christmas carols. At 16.00 will be opened the exhibition “The Tree House.” in favor of the’G. Gaslini Pediatric Institute of Genoa.

From 16.30, animating the afternoon will be The Association “U Gunbu de Löa” who will present a wide repertoire of traditional Christmas folk songs.

At 17.30, the lighting of the big Christmas tree in Italy Square Will give the signal to turn on the artistic illuminations. A warm Christmas atmosphere will envelop Loano. Lights will draw the contours of the most beautiful corners and Christmas decorations will festively dress the city.

Also creating the festive atmosphere will be the Christmas Villagein the San Josemaria Escrivà Gardens, set up by the Multipurpose Cultural Center Association of Loano. Many small chalets in the heart of the city will recall the atmosphere of markets in northern European countries. The marketplace Christmas magic will offer visitors a wide selection of items related to the festive season. There will be no shortage of delicacies and drinks typical of the cold season. The market will open from 3:30 p.m. to 7 p.m., the December 5, 6, 7, 8, 13, 14 and from the Dec. 20 to Jan. 6, every day except Dec. 25. The gardens will be adorned with a fairy-tale setting. Cold crystals will descend from the large cedars, and plays of lights and saplings will compose a winter garden. There will be the Santa's little house, where children will be able to mail their little letters, and an elf make-up artist for younger children. In addition, the December 7, 21, 28 initiative will take place Christmas Circus, circus arts workshop with the group Uncertain Circus.

Two initiatives that have won an important place in Loano's cultural programming will be intertwined during the holiday seasonBooks under the tree e Loano for Culture. Conducting the meetings will be the curator of the reviewGraziella Frasca Gallo Of the Journal of Loano. Musical and singing accompaniment will be provided by the Master Roberto Sinito.

Finally, in collaboration with the’UNITRE of Loano, the December 13, at 4 p.m. in the Council Chamber, Vice Mayor. Remo Zaccaria will present the “The Restoration of St. Sebastian” project”

The December 7 will kick off the review Heavenly music, a program of concerts of sacred and Christmas music in the churches of Loano. Protagonist of the opening night, which will take place at 21.00 at St. Mary Immaculate Parish, it will be Paola Arecco (piano). The review will continue on December 13 in St. Pius X Parish, where to perform, at the 21.00, will be the trio consisting of Claudia Murachelli (soprano voice), Gianni Gollo (transverse flute) and Paola Arecco (piano). L’Oratory Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary, will host three concerts of the review. The December 27 at 5 p.m., Magic Horn Ensemble will perform the Christmas Concert which will close the 2014 edition of “The Concerts of the Turks -  The Musics of the Soul.”. The January 3, as part of ”The Concerts of St. Torpete” the Friends of the Organ Music Association and the St. Ambrose Music Association will present at the 18.00 the organ concert by Silva Manfrè. The January 5, finally,will take place at 21.00 the concert of the’Loanese Music Association.

Completing the program of the review will be “Celestial Music” the concert of the’Loanese Music Association,in memory of Matteo Vadori, “Soundtracks and Christmas Music.”,scheduled on Dec. 27, at 20.00 in Council Chamber.

La music will also resonate in city squares and streets. Two dates with youth bands. The December 20 and the January 4, in fortress square 4 p.m, YEPP Loano will initiate two concerts featuring young musical groups from the area.

Wandering music will enliven the streets of downtown on the 24 and the December 31 from 4 p.m.. Protagonist will be theSbanday Street Band,marching band born within of the Loanese Music Association, who will perform traditional Christmas songs from around the world on the first date and a repertoire of festive songs on the afternoon of the last day of the year to announce the New Year's Eve in the square.

The musical evening in anticipation of the new year will kick off at 22.00 and will continue until the 2. Opening the show will be the DJ Cugi, then it will be the turn of Mauro Miclini, music column and

longtime Radio Deejay host. Miclini is among the most respected Italian DJs. Since 1996 he has been responsible for the selection and mixing of the “Hit Mania Dance” compilations, which have repeatedly reached the top positions in the Italian sales charts. Currently on Radio Deejay he signs Sunday Morning, an all-music program aired on Sunday mornings.

Next, the rapper from Turin will take the stage. ENSI who will present “Rock Steady,” his latest record released by Warner. Jari Vella, aka ENSI, started singing rhymes together with his brother Raige and friend Rayden and founded Onemic with them. He quickly made a name for himself in the Piedmont hip hop scene and released two independent albums. He is currently the host of “One Two One Two” on Radio Deejay. After ENSI's performance, dancing will continue with the DJ Cugi.

The first January Waiting for the fires, at 4 p.m. on the Harbour Quay, a concert will be held by the duo Bittersweet who will perform a repertoire of Italian and foreign pop music covers. At 18.00 at Kursaal Pier, will stage the spectacularfireworks.

In Rocca Square, at 4 p.m., the January 3 you will be able to appreciate the rhythm and blues of No Trouble Soul with the voice ofArya Delgado and the January 6 the folk group “U Gunbu de Löa- Verzi.” with Christmas songs, Ligurian dialect songs, along with some of the best-known traditional Italian folk songs.

Returning over the Christmas holidays will be the Tales of Winter, organized by the’Society of the Curious Association as part of the tenth edition of the City of Loano National Award for Italian Traditional Music. The December 28 i players of the Occitan Valleys along with Sergio Berardo and the group La Quimèra will give life from the 4 p.m, in the streets of the historic center, at the Occitan festival with grand ball in Italy Square. The January 2 at 21.15, in the Civic Library will take place the presentation-concert of the album “Growing up” of Duo Bottasso.

The December 29 and 30, Loano rages for artists in the squarewill offer residents and tourists two days dedicated to “street theater.” The streets and squares of the historic center will be enlivened by colorful parades of performers, a circus workshop and performances by stilt-walkers, tightrope walkers and jugglers.

I Christmas markets will enliven the city throughout the holiday season. At the “Christmas Magics” will be added Crafts in the Square e the Antiques and Collectibles Market, which will take place, as always, on the second Sunday of each month,under the arcades of Corso Europa.

Dec. 28, from 10 a.m, in the Neptune Baths, the XXVIII^ edition of theWinter Swimming Tournament. In the stretch of water in front of the Neptune Baths, avid swimmers will put themselves to the test by tackling the traditional end-of-year “plunge into the sea.” The party by the sea will be accompanied by the music and entertainment of Luca Valentini by Radio WaveLigurian.

The calendar of events will, in addition, be enriched by the outings of Loano not only sea and from the “The Tree House, Save Little Blue's Dreams” exhibition.”,in favor of the’Gaslini Pediatric Institute of Genoa which will remain set up in Doria Palace from  Dec. 5 to Jan. 8.

Lo sports will enliven Loano's Christmas with numerous events: the December 6 will take place the’International Fight Show - Mimmo Polizzano Memorial organized by A.S.D. Team Polizzano Perlungher, the December 7 will be the turn of the Basketball Tournament “Master E. Garassini” Promoted by A.S.D. Basketball “M.° E. Garassini,” the December 13 and the January 17 the Garassini Sports Hall will host the Italian Series A Football Championship for Deaf and Dumb Athletes organized by Loano Together,and infinedal 27 at December 30 A.S.D. Loanesi San Francesco will be engaged in the City of Loano - Ettore Mussi Youth Soccer Tournament, reserved for Chicks and Little Friends categories.
