Saturday, November 8, a Loano, at 4 p.m, at Civic Library (Kursaal Palace)will be held the conference of Mauro Letterio on the theme “The Figure and Work of Edith Stein,” organized by UNITRE. by Loano under the auspices of the’Department of Tourism, Culture and Sports of the City of Loano.
The lecture aims to present in its biographical and philosophical aspects the figure of Edith Stein (1891 - 1942), one of the most important thinkers of the twentieth century.
Letterio Mauro is full professor of History of Philosophy at the University of Genoa. He has dealt with various figures of medieval (Bonaventure of Bagnoreggio, Thomas Aquinas) and contemporary ( J. Maritain, E. Stein, W. Weischedel) thought regarding the theme of the relationship between reason and faith, and the relations between music and philosophy in the late Middle Ages and early Modern Age.
