Saturday, September 20,a Loano, the last summer event of the review will take place. “The Concerts of the Turchins - The Musics of the Soul.”,organized by the Brotherhood of the Turks' Chapels under the auspices of the’Department of Tourism, Culture and Sports of the City of Loano.
At 9 p.m., in the’Oratory of Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary, the M° Graziano Salvoni will perform a guitar concert. Salvoni, who studied under Fabrizio Cerri and then continued with Mario Dell'Ara at the Guido Cantelli Conservatory in Novara, furthered his specialization with Guido Fichtner.
His solo repertoire ranges from Renaissance and Baroque composers to those of the second half of the 20th century, although in recent years he has devoted himself to classical and romantic repertoire on original period instruments, using French and Viennese guitars, including 10- or 13-string guitars, from the era before the advent of Antonio de Torres' guitar.
The program he will present in the review “The Musics of the Soul” includes excerpts from Fernando Sor (1778-1839), Wenceslaus Thomas Matiegka (1773-1830), Caspar Joseph Mertz (1806-1856)and a transcript of Jan Nepomucen Bobrowicz (1805-1881). The repertoire will be performed on 6-string and 10-string guitar.
The Maestro Giudo Salvoni After specialization, he perfected his musical training with influential internationally renowned masters such as Mauro Storti, Flavio Cucchi, Maurizio Norrito, Tom Kestens, Arturo Tallini, Claudio Marcotulli, Stefano Palamidessi, Frederic Zigante, Lorenzo Micheli, Andrea Dieci, Pavelò Steidl, Alirio Diaz, Alberto Ponce, and Oscar Ghiglia.
In 2006, as part of the chamber music training course of the Accademia di alto perfezionamento Musicale Astigiana, he was awarded a scholarship as the best student. He deepened the repertoire of Renaissance and Baroque music with Paolo Graziano Salvoni and by taking courses on performance practice taught by Emilia Fadini.
Ever since he was very young and active in the concert field, Graziano Salvoni performs regularly as a soloist, in a variety of chamber ensembles and with orchestra, collaborating with some important musical entities such as the Scuola Musicale di Fiesole.
He records for the Brilliant Classics record label, for which he released two double CDs this year featuring the original opera omnia for 6-string guitar by Romantic guitarist-composer Caspar Joseph Mertz (1806 - 1856), recorded on an 1827 Johann Anton Stauffer guitar belonging to collector Marco D'Agostino. Actively involved in teaching, Graziano Salvoni is a guitar teacher at the Liceo Musicale “Felice Casorati” in Novara.
