Wednesday, August 6, at Loano, the review“Family-friendly Loano”, promoted by the’Department of Tourism, Culture and Sports of the City of Loano organized by the I.So THeatre, proposes a new appointment of children's theater.
At 9:30 pm, in the’Prince's Garden Summer Arena star of the evening will be the Mad Grass Theater with the show “The Piper of Hamelin.”.
The story is familiar: a rich and opulent town is overrun by rats who, in a single day, clear out everything it owns. Despair looms over Hamelin's sudden poverty, but a magical instrument-the flute-and its owner may save it from ultimate destruction.
“The magical element” is the underlying theme that inspired the Compagnia de Teatrino dell'Erba Matta in inventing a changing and absolutely fantastic set design. A hexagonal structure where each side is a different scene, with a dominant color, and an unexpected scenic development. Fantasy in its pure state.
The locations of the original fairy tale are told in the performance by flipping through the pages of a three-dimensional book. Each page presents a situation to enter while listening to the narrator, also a magical storyteller, telling, animating the puppet protagonists and dialoguing directly with the audience.
Original music characterizes each environment, transporting the viewer, especially children, into an unreal world almost as in a Chagall painting where everything is in the air, where the big and the small are side by side losing the real logical condition, while the eyes are filled with color.
The evening is at free admission.
