Saturday, July 19, Loano, will welcome tourists with a very rich program of initiatives.

From 16.00 until late at night, a new edition of Italian Night, promoted by the’Old Loano Association in collaboration with the ASCOM of Loano e under the auspices of the’Department of Tourism, Culture and Sports of the City of Loano.

La Italian Night will offer musical entertainment, shopping and tasting of typical products, all strictly made in Italy.

On waterfront will be set up the’exhibition of food and wine products of Liguria and others Italian regions and typical dishes can be tasted on the premises. Excellence from Emilia Romagna, Sicily, Calabria, Puglia, Campania, Sardinia and Piedmont will be on display. D.O.C. and I.g.p. products will include Pecetto cherries, Carmagnola peppers, Cambiano tomatoes, and Santhena asparagus.

Liguria will be represented by pesto, the secrets of which will be revealed by the Amici del Pesto of Varazze (a group that took fifth place at the World Pesto Championship in Genoa), Vessalico garlic, the many excellent productions of extra virgin olive oil and local wines.

Also on the waterfront, from the 19.00, near the Sea workers' cottage, the Summer musculature, organized by the Brotherhood of the Turks. In the steel pan will be cooked among the nine and the 12 quintals of muscle. The recipe is a traditional Ligurian one and in particular that of the Loano fishermen. The muscles will be flavored with cherry tomatoes, garlic, parsley, extra virgin olive oil and biancolocal wine.

In the downtown streets and waterfront the live musical sounds Will accompany the Italian night. From 21.30 nineteen stations will come alive with cover bands, folk groups, singer-songwriters and DJs: The Dragon Attack  (Disco Beach Marinella), Vespu Surdu (Bar ‘900), Disco Music D.J. Set (Bar Class), Beyond (Vittorino Wine Bar), Pat and Rick (Siren), U Gumbu De Loa (Maccagli Garden), Shadow Line (Bar Rino), Ray Fiore (Basilico Pizzeria Restaurant), Occitan Music and Dances (Massena Square), Turn Around (Ghilini Street), Eleonora Anselmo (Garibaldi Street), The Free Flight (Mar and Thyme Restaurant), D. Set (Shaka), Alice and Teo (Rock Square), Alex and his guitar (Via Doria Bar Gluckly), D.J. Tino (Italy Square Central Bar), Holy Nuts to Tie (Skating, Osteria Degli Stonati), Enzo Cioffi (Boragine L'arcibaldo Street). From 10 p.m. music also at Bagni Medusa with the Dirty Chopper.

All-female initiative at the’ Ice Square in the Marina of Loano, where the Pink Night, organized by theSavona Province Anti-Violence Center and the Women's Phone to promote the center's activities in order to gather membership and support.

The highlight of the initiative will be a concert by artist Sherrita Duran who will be named an honorary member of Women's Telephone.

Extraordinary voice,  Sherrita Duran conveys the warmth and energy of her California, thanks to her voice timbre and range, which allows her to be versatile in different musical styles. Described by music critic Mario Luzzato Fegiz as “ Soprano Acrobatico, a force of nature.”, Sherrita began his careerwith a repertoire that spanned the most diverse genres of music: from Opera to Pop, from Gospel to Jazz, from Soul to Dance and Hip-Hop music, from Rhythm and Blues to Musical.

The evening will feature girls from Class V A of the Albenga Comprehensive Institute, who will perform two ballets dedicated to the weakest: battered women, forgotten elderly and disrespected children.

Women's Phone was founded in 1991, was the first listening point in the Province of Savona, operated for a period of time through a National toll-free number, and in 1998 was established as a non-profit association and entered into an agreement with the Provincial Administration. The Anti-Violence Center of the Province of Savona, opened on March 29, 2009, is included in the provincial Project-Program supported by funding from the Liguria Region.

The Center represents a reference point for all women in the provincial territory, a concrete response to the desire to face and resolve personal and family difficulties related to abuse and violence.
