Thursday July 10, a Loano, will kick off the third edition of the film review “The trash that we were!” and the City of Loano Award “Trash Film! Laughing Italian Style.”, promoted by the’Department of Tourism, Culture and Sports of the City of Loano and organized by the I.So, with the artistic direction of Paolo Borio.

“Three unforgettable Italian comedy films will be shown on the big screen in the Prince's Garden. - Loano Mayor explain, Luigi Pignocca and Councillor Remo Zaccaria - The review dedicated to the film strand nowadays referred to as “trash” will this year feature the following Alvaro Vitali, the comedian who made Italy smile by giving a face to the most famous joke character “Pierino.”.

His physicality and acting ability turned him into a funny mask, rooted in the Roman and “Romanesque” tradition. Alvaro Vitali thus became the popular character that animated the Italian-style comedy of the 1970s and 1980s.”

The semi-serious journey through never-to-be-forgotten films, which will take place in the’Prince's Garden Summer Arena, to the 9:30 pm, will kick off Thursday, July 10 with the screening of the film “Gianburrasca” (Italy, 1982) by Pier Francesco Pingitore, inspired by the plot of Vamba's short story about the popular restless child of the early 20th century.

Giannino Stoppani, known as Gian Burrasca, is a boy perpetually prone to pranks. Son of commendator Nando Stoppani (Mario Carotenuto), wealthy merchant of the Rome umbertina, he really spares no one with his jokes.

Sunday, July 13, on the big screen of the Prince's Garden you can review the film “Giggi the Bully” (Italy, 1982) by Marino Girolami, inspired by the famous macchietta “Giggi er Bullo” by Ettore Petrolini. In the film Alvaro Vitali Is a young Roman blowhard prone to getting into trouble.

The review will continue on July 14 with the film “Paulo Roberto Cotechiño ...” (Italy, 1983) by Nando Cicero with Alvaro Vitali and Carmen Russo, considered a true spiritual testament of Italian-style comedy, thanks to its anthology of gags and the presence of Mediterranean women.

The review will close Tuesday, July 15 with the awards night, which will feature Alvaro Vitali star of the “Pierino” show.
