Starts with Loano, Sunday, June 29, the “Buio Pesto Tour 2014“, which this year also coincides with the promotion of the new CD to be released on June 27.
The concert, sponsored by the’Department of Tourism, Culture and Sports of the City of Loano, will kick off at 9 p.m., in the’Prince's Garden Summer Arena.
The new album, titled “Buio Pesto,” is the tenth disk of the Ligurian dialect band, which this year also celebrates the thirty years of activity. The double CD contains 30 new songs, including unreleased and covers, plus the soundtracks of the last two films produced by the Genoese group. Completing the album are one song in Italian (but with many dialectal references) and one half in Ligurian dialect and half in English (Anglo-zeneize), to attempt the climb, ironically, to Italian and international success!
The history of Buio Pesto begins in the 1983, but in 1995 it knew a major turning point with the decision to sing in Genoese dialect. Since then, the band has been setting the Ligurian summer on fire with highly successful live concerts.
The nine published albums, (Belinlandia, Cosmolandia, Colombo, Paganini, Basilico, Palanche, Liguria, Pesto, Zeneize) have placed in the top seven sales charts in Liguria for the past 15 years and fourth overall in the history of Genoese music.
The group consists of. Massimo Morini (on vocals and keyboards), David Ageno (on guitar), Danilo Straulino (on drums), Nino Cancilla (on bass), Federica Saba(under the heading), Gianni Casella (under the heading), Maurizio Borzone (on violin), Massimo Bosso (on backing vocals), who is also the producer and author of the lyrics. But Buio Pesto's staff numbers 45 people, indispensable to the band's success.
