On the May Day bridge, in Loano, double date for gourmands, with two initiatives promoted under the auspices of the’Department of Tourism, Culture and Sports of the City of Loano.
Thursday, May 1, from 2 p.m. at 18,30, near the Sea Workers' Cottage, on the waterfront, you will be able to taste the delicious doughnuts fried and filled with creams. The initiative is organized by the Pro Loco of Loano.
The May 2, 3 and 4 will take place the Ligurian Cake Festival, organized by the’Old Loano Association.
The highlight of these days will be the “savoury pie”, present with many recipes that enhance local products. One can enjoy green herb, onion, pumpkin and artichoke pie. The most famous is the “Pasqualina” pie, in which olive oil, chard, eggs and cheese are admirably blended.
All this will be accompanied by typical wines.
The days' program includes the opening of the tasting booths at 12 noon and from the 17.00 musical entertainment.
Saturday, May 3, the initiative will be hosted by the G.A.V. group from Varazze, ranked fifth in the 2014 World Pesto Championship.{:}
