Sunday, February 16, a Loano, we will get into the swing of the Lovran carnival, which this year will include. two appointments for children (Sunday, Feb. 16 and Sunday, Feb. 23) and the Grand Masquerade Parade (Sunday, March 2), involving some of the best-known characters from the Italian carnival tradition.

To organize the “Loano Carnival Festival 2014”, will again this year be the’Old Loano Association, with the contribution of the Department of Tourism, Culture and Sports of the City of Loano.  The Association, looking forward to relaunching the Carnevaloa with big floats, again this year offers three days of fun.

It will be the Children's Carnival associated with the Volleyball Day Carnival To kick off the party. Sunday, February 16, from the 3 p.m., in Italy Square, to welcome children  will be “U Beciancìn.”, King of Carnival and the official mask of Carnevalöa, and U Puè Peppin” the traditional carnival mask at Loano.

Little ones will have fun playing dress-up with original costumes, colorful wigs and colorful makeup. For one day they will dress up in the outfits of famous characters from fairy tales, history and current events.
The afternoon of fun will open with a parade of masked children in the Town Hall Square, which will be followed by games and dancing.
The afternoon will end with a sweet snack. For all participants there will be carnival pancakes prepared by the sports group A.S.D. St. Pius X Volleyball.
The Children's Carnival will return Sunday, Feb. 23, in the square. Massena, at 3 p.m. with the “piñata.”.

 Sunday, March 2, finally, as of the 3:30 pm, the Grand Masquerade Parade. This year for the first time they will come to Loano Ruganitino from Rome, Stenterello from Florence, Al Dsèvod from Parma, Brigantino and Brigantella from Crispiano (Taranto). Numerous carnival delegations will arrive as usual from Piedmont and Lombardy, and the band folkloristic “Cau dei Noi” of Noli will accompany the entire parade.{:}
