The YEPP Group Loano returns to offer the youth community the activities of the’YEPP Arts Workshop.  http://www.yepploano.it/

From February to December, For young people between the ages of 12 and 25, courses will be activated in music, photography and video, to which two will be added video workshop, one dedicated to the video clip and one to the short film. In addition, will continue the workshop of web radio where the young people themselves will wear the clothes of speaker, director and author.

For younger children, the juggling course and in collaboration with the Falcone Institute will continue the course of interior design.

“The project YEPP, booted to Loano in 2007 by the’Department of Social Services of the City of Loano In cooperation with and with the contribution of the Compagnia di San Paolo of Turin, today also supported by the “A. De Mari” Foundation of Savona, aims to Promote the development of youth activities through a participatory planning of initiatives which see young people as protagonists in both the conceptualization and implementation phases. The idea behind the project is to promote change within the youth community starting from the needs of the local area.

In 2007, the Support Group composed of young people and representatives of associations and bodies active at the local level towards the world of youth.

The GS of Loano, undertook to promote a multifaceted project, with the aim of providing a response to the main needs that emerged from a survey conducted through questionnaires and interviews: needs for aggregation, socialization and knowledge.

From 2007 to 2013 have been involved in the activities promoted by the YEPP Loano site more than 700 young people, who live and study in the area from Ceriale to Finale Ligure and hinterland.

“The presentation of the activities planned by the YEPP Loano Group.explains Councillor for Social Services, Luca Lettieri - is accompanied this year by a communication project designed by the young people themselves, which aims to showcase the activities offered by the project and at the same time to send a message to peers: abandon the classic “grumbling” and take an active attitude in the community. This campaign stems from the young people's desire to emphasize how a passive attitude prevents them from taking advantage of the opportunities in the area.”

Registration for YEPP activities will start from. Jan. 25 in Fortress Square, where it will be set up, from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m., an information booth.

The secretariat also will be open on the 29th and 30th January (5-7 p.m.) and Jan. 31 and Feb. 1 (4-5:30 p.m.) in the Kursaal Palace.

In the coming days, activities will be promoted in educational institutions and youth meeting places. The initiatives are aimed at young people between the 12 and 25 years old,

And here are the proposed activities for 2014 in detail.

I music courses are born with the intention of completing the educational offerings in the music sector in the Loano area. Basic courses aimed at the study of the following instruments will be activated: Bass guitar, drums, electric guitar, keyboards.

Ample space will be given to the ensemble music, music workshop in which young people will learn to play in a band. The youngsters followed by a staff of teachers will have the opportunity to perform at important musical events (YEPP Music Festival, Just a Nice Rock). Auditions for a chance to join the band will take place. Monday, Jan. 27, at 7 p.m., in the Kursaal Palace.

The photography course includes two theoretical and practical training courses: the basic course and the advanced course. The former will be devoted to technical fundamentals, the latter will explore the theme of photography as a means of expression through certain techniques such as portraiture, landscape, etc.... At the end of the courses there will be an exhibition displaying the participants' work.

The video course will explain the basic theoretical and practical principles of filming and will include a theoretical part on the technical functions of the camera, framing, light, and practical lessons. As part of the training, a commercial will be designed and produced for a campaign to raise awareness of important issues.

Finally, the activity of Web Radio with children who will bring to life broadcasts that can be downloaded as podcasts from www.yepploano.it

Confirmed in this year's activity is the Youth Portal (www.yepploano.it), “virtual plaza” and multimedia meeting point, which aims to promote the youth art activities. Among the portal initiatives will be the fourth edition ofUp'n'Coming”. The competition for young bands of the territory has as its purpose the presentation and promotion of live music. To participate in the contest it will be necessary for the band to be from Liguria, for the average age of the members to be no older than 26 (it is allowed to have a maximum of one member older than 26), and for an unpublished song to be submitted (no covers). Up for grabs for the winning band will be a music video clip made by the YEPP Loano boys.

Finally confirmed is the project Service Stations With the study support activity Pas (First Aid School) aimed at middle school children, carried out in collaboration with Aggregation Center “Space for Boys” Villa Maria Little Opera, the Active Listening Workshops and the course of  Interior architecture carried out in collaboration with the’Falcone Institute of Loano.{:}
