Sunday, January 12, a Loano, will kick off the theater season, promoted by the’Department of Tourism and Culture of the City of Loano, as part of the La Riviera dei Teatri circuit - Province of Savona
Opening the review, at 9 p.m., in the Loanese Cinema Theater, Will be the funny comedy “Let's have a dream.” by Sacha Guitry. Between equivocations and plots, which will see among the protagonists Nathalie Caldonazzo, the three acts translated and adapted by George Caprile, will provide moments of exhilarating entertainment.
The three-act play, written by Sacha Guitry, is set in the 1920s/30s and has never been performed in Italy. The protagonists are two husband and wife who are summoned to the home of their lawyer friend and inveterate bachelor for a matter of the utmost urgency, but when they arrive their friend is not there. The husband trembles because he has a hot date with another woman shortly thereafter, and after a few minutes of waiting, by a ruse he manages to persuade his wife to let him go. The wife decides to stay a few more minutes waiting for the friend, who immediately appears before her eyes as soon as the husband leaves the house. The friend's goal is to win over the woman who, evidently already attracted to him, does not hesitate to fall into his arms. The two spend the entire evening together and without realizing it fall asleep. When she wakes up the next morning, the woman is terrified at the thought of her husband not seeing her come home and asks the lawyer for help in resolving this unfortunate situation. As they search for an excuse for the husband to find, the husband shows up at the lawyer's house (when the wife is in another room), telling him that he has not yet returned home having gotten drunk the night before. The husband also asks his friend for help so that he can find an excuse with his wife. The lawyer successfully untangles himself from this mess by deriving the desired benefits.
