Saturday, Jan. 4, a Loano, continue with a double musical event the initiatives “Christmas Enchantments” promoted by the’Department of Tourism, Culture and Sports of the City of Loano.
At 4 p.m., in Fortress Square, the holiday concert of the folk group will be held. “U Gunbu de Löa- Verzi.”. The folk group will present Christmas songs, Ligurian dialect songs, along with some of the best-known traditional Italian folk songs.
The Gunbu Music Group de Löa Verzi was founded in 2004. Formed by enthusiasts, the fellowship was born out of a desire to publicize and preserve the popular music tradition and Italian dialect song.
At 9 p.m., in the Council Chamber, in Palazzo Doria, a concert by the West Riviera Wind Orchestra will be held. Trade Wind Ensemble.
Main musical theme of the evening will be the transcription for wind ensemble of the most popular Verdi pages, closing the year-long celebration of the 200th anniversary of the great composer's birth.
The symphony “Aroldo,” the Prelude from “Attila,” arias from “Il Trovatore,” “La Traviata,” “Rigoletto,” “Un Ballo in Maschera,” and the Symphony “Joan of Arc” will be performed.{:}
