Thursday 26th December, a Loano, the review “Heavenly Musings, promoted by the’Department of Tourism, Culture and Sports of the City of Loano offers the concert of the Privitera duo - Minutes.
At hours 16.30, at Mount Carmel Church, Will be performed, in a flute and piano version, some of the most celebrated pieces of the sacred repertoire. Alessia Privitera on transverse flute and Gianpaolo Minuti on the piano will perform works by Bach, Arcadelt, Mozart, Haendel, Liszt, Fauré, Gounod with special reference to Marian compositions.
La young pair of musicians from Savona will present for the occasion the antiphon “Haec est Regina Virginum.“, composed by G.F. Haendel specifically for the Virgin of Mount Carmel.
Alessia Privitera, born in Savona in 1987, a graduate of the “N. Paganini” Conservatory of Genoa, began the study of transverse flute under the guidance of M° Giovanni Lagorio at the SMS ad indirizzo musicale “B. Guidobono”. She continued her studies with M° Lagorio first as a former student of the SMS “B. Guidobono” and then since 2005 as a student at the “Ferrato - Cilea” Music Academy in Savona. She took part in master classes held by M° Raffaele Trevisani in the years 2005/2006/2010.
He is currently a stable member of several chamber and orchestral groups with whom he has numerous concerts and recordings to his credit.
From 2005 to 2009 he was a member of the Finale Youth Orchestra under the direction of M° Paolo Venturino, and in 2007 he held the position of first flute in the orchestra of the “Della Rovere” Musical Chapel with which he performed J. S. Bach's Weinachtsoratorium in December 2007 and J. S. Bach's Passion according to John in April 2008 on the occasion of the anniversary of the Consecration of the N. S. Assunta Cathedral in Savona. Since 2008 he has joined the “Della Rovere” Choir both as a chorister and instrumentalist. He is a member of the Savona Flute Choir “Hamelin” founded by Maestro Lagorio, with which he has participated in numerous cultural and charity events in the Savona area. From 2007 to 2008 he collaborated with the Band “S. Ambrogio” of Legino as a teacher of transverse flute. He collaborated with the choral-instrumental group “I Magikanti.”.
In June 2009, he received a license in theory and solfeggio from the “Ferrato - Cilea” Music Academy in collaboration with the “A. Vivaldi” Conservatory of Alessandria.
On September 22, 2010, she obtained as a private student the lower flute diploma with a score of 8/10 at the “Ghedini” Conservatory of Cuneo. She is currently a member of the singer-songwriter groups Chalk&Cheese and Clan Destino and is co-founder with Gianpaolo Minuti of the classical-modern flute and piano duo Privitera-Minuti.
Gianpaolo Minuti, born in Savona in 1984. Graduated in jazz double bass at the ISSM Conservatory of Music “G.F. Ghedini” in Cuneo under M.i (among others) R. Zegna, E. Negro. He participated in specific seminars organized by the Conservatory. In the same Conservatory he studied classical double bass under M° P. Borsarelli; previously he studied the same instrument with M.i S. Monanni and S. Solani from 2007 to 2010.
Initiated to the study of string instruments and in particular viola and double bass by M. P. Venturino, he studied electric bass at the Finale Music Academy with M. Dedoni from 2005 to 2009.
At the turn of 2000 he studied violin and viola under M° M. Patetta.
As part of these studies, he participated in related ensemble music courses and served in Finalist orchestras both as a violinist and violist and as a double bassist and electric bassist.
As for piano, he studied for several years with M° S. Folco while continuing in parallel and still studying the instrument and repertoire with M° Olga Benini.
Self-taught, he perfected his studies on electric instruments, synthesizers, electronic and computer equipment for music processing.
From 2000 to the present, he has been a member of numerous classical and light music groups with whom he has performed numerous times both live and in the studio and is on call as a session player; he regularly participates in jazz jam sessions; he is currently a member of the group “Clan Destino” as a double bassist and electric bassist; and he is co-founder with flutist Alessia Privitera of the classical-modern flute and piano duo Privitera-Minuti.
