Friday, December 6, Loano will light up Christmas with the A Thousand Lights of the Holidays, the city's artistic lighting, promoted by the’Department of Tourism, Culture and Sports of the City of Loano.
The party will kick off at 15.30, in Italy Square, with the Storytelling workshop and the “CircusUncertain” curated by the’Society of the Curious Association. Under the direction of Simone Peretti the square will come alive with a wader, a elf makeup baby and the magic of the ballum art, who will give children original balloon sculptures. A striking performance with fire games in the traditional style of circus arts will amaze children and adults alike.
Luca Mazzara will involve young and old alike in the soap bubble magic that will enchant with their simplicity and color. Small bubbles, medium bubbles, large bubbles, big enough to hold a child ... and giant bubbles; foam, bubbles with smoke, bubbles that can be touched and shaped, and more: bubble sculptures, bubbles in time to music ... but also bubbles that are means of transportation ...
At 16.30 Will be the lighting of the big Christmas tree in Italy Square, to set the tone for the city's lighting. In the center of the square, the fir tree of 13 meters will shine, thanks to the many lights decorating it. A warm Christmas atmosphere will envelop Loano. Lights will draw the contours of the most beautiful corners and Christmas decorations will festively dress the city. Snowy spheres, large snowflakes, and glowing stars will adorn the shopping streets, and a shower of light will create a sparkling gallery in the historic center.
Animating the afternoon will be The Association “U Gunbu de Löa”, which will present a wide repertoire of traditional Christmas folk songs.
From 15.30 Until 7:30 p.m., the Christmas Village, in the San Josemaria Escivà Gardens. The marketplace Christmas magic, immersed in a fairy-tale setting, will offer visitors a wide selection of items related to the festive season: candles, Christmas decorations, cribs and many gift ideas. There will be no shortage of delicacies and drinks typical of the cold season.{:}
