The fourth edition of the Rigardo Memorial, an Under-17 category basketball tournament, is on the starting blocks. Once again this year Basket Loano “E. Garassini” has managed to organize an event of the highest level that will be held on the days November 1 and 2 at the Sports Hall on Matteotti Street - Fei Location and which will involve 6 trainings among which stand out the emblazoned Virtus Bologna and Menssana Siena.
“This is the best way,’ says Asd Basketball Loano President Marco Vignola, “to keep the memory of our friend Rino alive through a ”healthy” sports competition that will showcase future champions."
The program of the event is as follows:
FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 1
11 a.m. CAP GENOA - BASKET LOANO GARASSINI (round A)
2:30 p.m. PALLACANESTRO BIELLA - POOL 2000 LOANO (round B)
4:15 p.m. MENSSANA SIENA - CAP GENOVA (round A)
6 p.m. VIRTUS BOLOGNA - POOL 2000 LOANO (round B)
8:45 p.m. MENSSANA SIENA - BASKET LOANO GARASSINI (round A)
SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 2
10:00 a.m. VIRTUS BOLOGNA - PALLACANESTRO BIELLA (round B)
2:30 P.M. 5TH AND 6TH PLACE FINAL
4:15 P.M. FINAL 3RD AND 4TH PLACE
6 P.M. FINAL 1ST AND 2ND PLACE
Marco, Rino's son, will also take part in the event as a sure protagonist, leading the Loano team of Asd Basket Loano with his captain's grit. The tournament also becomes an opportunity to see again at work the promise of Loano basketball Tommaso Oxilia, who as of this year has landed at Virtus Bologna under the guidance of experienced coaches such as Sanguettoli and Consolini, who will have the task of continuing the important work started by coach Campisi Emanuele to make Tommaso a true champion.{:}
