Graced by the weather, only a few drops of rain, runners found at Loano ideal weather to tackle the seventh edition of the competitive running race Tour of the Walls - Paolo Romanisio Memorial, organized by the Runners Sports Society Loano with contributions from the’Department of Tourism, Culture and Sports of the City of Loano.

In an absolutely stunning environmental and spectator setting, the Loano race was crowned with a successful turnout that once again testifies to the organizational skills of the more than one hundred volunteers and the organizers' determination to promote a race that is now a classic of Ligurian running and a first-rate sporting event.

Welcomed by a warm and large audience, the nearly five hundred runners of all levels did battle on the waterfront and in the historic center.

Warming up the audience was the competition of the over fifty children who competed on a shortened 1km course around the Loano city wall.

Kicking off the race were the Mayor of Loano Luigi Pignocca And the President of the Province, Angelo Vaccarezza.

It was a very good and balanced competition. At 7 km there was still a small group of 6 athletes in the lead; at 8 km there was the acceleration of Khelifi Mehdi (amateurs Atletica Acquaviva Bari) who crossed the finish line first.

At second place placed the Italian national triathlon team (card-carrying member of the Fiamme Oro) Andrea Secchiero (Palzola Athletics).

At third place Chihaoui Ridha Ben Lazhar (Cambiaso Risso Genoa) and at the fourth an excellent Valerio Brignone (Cambiaso Risso Genoa) 31’41.

Equally close women's race with final success of Jasmine Claudia (Atletica Palzola), who was two minutes ahead of the winner of the first edition of the Tour of the Walls Maura Rinaldo.
