{:en}From the Sept. 13 to 16 will take place in Loano i Italian Olympic Classes Sailing Championships, organized by the Nautical Circle of Loano in collaboration with the Yacht Club Marina di Loano, the Marina of Loano and the Italian Sailing Federation.

The ”CICO" represents the tricolors of the Olympic classes, a sort of mini-Olympics of Italian sailing. For nineteen editions this event has been held in a single location, bringing together all the Italian championships of the classes eligible for the Olympic Games.

An opportunity to experience organizational skills, develop technical knowledge and friendships among crews, bringing young people closer to top teams or former Olympic team members.

In 2013 the event will be held in two different locations: in Riva del for the 49er and 49er FX Classes , Nacra 17, and in Loano, for the Classes 470 m/f/j - Laser Std and j - Laser Rad. f/j, Finn, 2.4 open and RS:X m/f..

The sports event, sponsored under the auspices of the’Department of Tourism, Culture and Sports of the City of Loano and of the Province of Savona and with the contribution of Fondde Mari action, will feature the participation of 220 competitors who will compete for four consecutive days.

The stretch of sea involved in the regattas will go from Pietra Ligure to Borghetto Santo Spirito and will be occupied by as many as four race courses. The best Italian sailors will participate in the regatta, and several Olympic athletes will be present.

Ensured the presence of the multiple Olympic champion Alessandra Sensini representing the Italian Sailing Federation along with the federal vice president Francis Ettorre and to the FIV general manager for sports activities Angelo Insabato.

The rendezvous is for everyone at the Loano Marina where they can watch the preparation of the crews or on the breakwater and Kursaal Pier to watch the water challenges live.{:}
