PRESS RELEASE (20/8/2013)
Wednesday, August 21, a Loano, a new event of the review is scheduled. Family-friendly Loano, promoted by the’Department of Culture, Tourism and Sports and curated by the Cooperative I.SO. Theatre.
At ore 9:30 p.m., in the Prince's Garden Summer Arena, Daniele Debernardi of Mad Grass Theater will present “Little Red Riding Hood”, animated figure theater performance with puppets (made of latex and foam rubber).
The setting of this play is in an illegal garbage dump--one of those that you sometimes happen to see when traveling by car.
Thus, by chance, we suddenly approach a habitat made up of “things” that people no longer want because they are superfluous. In those piles of uselessness, however, there are memories of what once, these objects, might have represented in the framework of a family life.
How much dirt devoured that disused washing machine, and how cold a rusty old refrigerator donated. Where has the black and white television gone? Where will be the children who grew up on that now broken and discarded stroller? So many stories! What if by play and pure imagination from these talking objects their original owners emerged to tell us some fragments of their lives-this dump would be alive! Thus we wanted to tell the point of view of a grandmother and a mother connected to their household appliances. An updated version of Little Red Riding Hood: a preteen girl all computer, scooter, and television, who meets a wolf-beard, lurching, looking for something to put in her shopping cart! And then again a hunter-symbol of salvation: a myth!
The evening is at FREE ADMISSION.{:}
