Friday, August 9, a Loano, will be held a new concert of the “Finally Friday.”, organized by the’Department of Tourism, Culture and Sports of the City of Loano.
At 9 p.m., in Maccagli Garden (waterfront), will play the band “This time my wife sends me to Funk.”, ironic cover band led by two historic Albenga artists: Marco Ghini voice and author of the lyrics and Rossano Giallombardo guitarist and composer, who shared their project with five other prominent friends and musicians from the province of Savona. The Albenga band has given birth to a new musical genre, which it has christened with the name “creaturely” rhythm.
The group will present a very entertaining performance with a mix of completely revised famous songs (Gaber's “torpedo blu” has become “auto blu”) and songs entirely of their own composition (including "Il bagnino dei bagni Lino") interspersed with gags in which the audience is involved. Running through the concert are the tragicomic tales of many common characters: the lifeguard, the ski instructor, the life coach, the politician, the disco boy, the dated playboy, etc..
December 2010 saw the release of the band's first CD “Linen Baths” produced by Ghini-Giallombardo and recorded-mixed at ITILWHORLD Recording Studio in Imperia. Proceeds from the sale of the album were entirely donated to the’Basta Poco Onlus Association, which has created a network of volunteers capable of assisting and guiding people with advanced cancer disease and their family, in aid and supplement to the public facility services already existing in the western Liguria area. To date, the following have been collected almost 50,000 euros. Since the end of June 2012, the association has activated the telephone listening center through which patients and their families can express needs and requirements and be properly addressed (331 5617734: Onlus Bastapoco answers). Volunteers, trained through a course conducted in the Council Chamber of the City of Loano, began assisting sick people in the Santa M.G. Rossello Hospice in Savona and at home.{:}
