Friday, July 12 and Saturday, July 13, on the waterfront of Loano, near the Sea Workers' Cottage will take place the traditional Crostolo Festival. For two days, “Crostoli” and “Fugassin” will be packed and fried in more than 200 liters of oil around the large steel frying pan over 2 meters in diameter.

Friday, July 12, from the afternoon you can enjoy the “Crostoli”, a typical sweet of the Riviera, similar to “bugie” or “chiacchere,” whose dough is made with flour, eggs, sugar, yeast water and flavorings. Starting from the hours 18.00, association volunteers will start frying. There are more than two thousand Crostoli that will end up in the frying pan. Mixing the ingredients, according to the traditional recipe that has been handed down from generation to generation since 1958, will be the association's expert “cooks.”.

Saturday, July 13, also starting in the afternoon, frying will be the “Fugassin”, savory dough made of flour, water, yeast, olive oil and flavorings. Served hot they will be accompanied by tasty bacon.

In case of bad weather, the initiative will continue until Sunday, July 14.{:}
