Tuesday, July 9, on the strand of Loano will take place the XXVII edition by Budding architects, sand building competition sponsored by the’Department of Tourism, Culture and Sports of the City of Loano in collaboration with the Syndicate Marine Baths of Loano and organized by the I.so Theatre.
The most classic beach pastime has become one of the most anticipated events of the’summer loanese. Protagonists of the initiative, included in the review “Family-friendly Loano”, will be the children, who will turn into little architects for a day and try their hand at building imaginative and elaborate sand constructions.
The only materials they will be able to use are natural ones: sand, water, stones, shells and seaweed. The working tools will be shovels, buckets and of course lots of imagination. As every year, adults will be able to observe, without intervening.
The beach activity will kick off in the morning: children will first design the works and then try their hand at building the many sand sculptures. In the afternoon, the sand castles will be screened by a careful jury.
The names of the winners of the sand building contest will be. announced Wednesday, July 10, as of 9 p.m, at Architects in the Grass Party, which will take place this year in the’Prince's Garden Summer Arena. {:}
