Thursday, July 4, a Loano, will kick off the Port Thursday, which will animate for summer 2013 the Marina of Loano With three music stations. Every Thursday evening in July and August, from 9 p.m, the picturesque setting of the harbor will host pop, pop, jazz, lounge and swing bands.
“According to the now well-known slogan “Loano Space for You - a Sea of Possibilities,” we have prepared for the summer of 2013 a poster that recalls the activities of a large Tourist Village: music, entertainment, culture and space for children with weekly events to give those who stay at Loano, even for just one week, the chance to appreciate our “Sea of Possibilities” in full. - Explains Councillor Remo Zaccaria - This is where the new Thursdays at the Port event will fit in, which will find its natural setting in the Loano Marina.”
The July 4 to open the review, sponsored by the’Department of Tourism, Culture and Sports of the City of Loano, will be the Shameless,the singer Kiuto and the Little Zingaro Orchestra. The repertoires offered by the three ensembles will range across different styles and genres.
The London-based duo Shameless will present covers of timeless classics, moving from pop to country and rock to blues. Martin & Michelle Bacon boast international artistic experience, which is characterized by great theatricality and expressive ability in the interpretation of songs.
Italian folk music, mixed with the sounds, rhythms and harmonies of jazz, particularly those of the Northern European gypsy-swing of the 1930s-40s, will be offered by the Little Zingaro Orchestra. The quartet of multi-instrumentalists (Mario Cau-kua, voice-guitar, Marco Moro, flute-accordion, Danilo Bergamelli, brushes and snare drum, Mauro Demoro, double bass) will perform songs inspired by Renato Carosone, Fred Buscaglione, Paolo Conte, Domenico Modugno, and musicians who shaped European swing including Django Reinhardt and Stephane Grappelli. The Zingarò with a simple and effective acoustic sound will take the audience on a musical journey through time.
Finally, also enlivening the first Thursday in the harbor will be the singer, guitarist, Kiuto, who will perform a repertoire of Italian music, ranging from singer-songwriters to folk, particularly Ligurian.{:}
