There are musical appointments and sunrise concerts by the sea, circus performances, literary presentations for young and old, exhibitions, sports events, food events and much, much more in “Eppi Sammer 2021”, the extensive calendar of events that will enliven the summer of Loano.
The mayor of Loano, Luigi Pignocca, says, “The continuation of the pandemic still for part of this 2021 and the so-called ‘reopenings’ that arrived rather ahead threatened to negatively affect this summer season as well. Instead, thanks to the important work done by our offices and the fundamental collaboration of so many entities operating in our territory, we have equally managed to come up with a rich and varied calendar of events. Once again Loano offers ‘a sea of possibilities’ to all its guests.”.
Deputy mayor and councillor for tourism, culture and sports Remo Zaccaria adds, “Music, books and culture, sports: as always, Loano's summer of events will satisfy all the entertainment needs of our fellow citizens and guests. As the mayor pointed out, the health emergency threatened to make us have another ‘muted’ summer on the events front. Fortunately, things turned out differently, and once again this year our city can boast a respectable calendar of events. I thank the offices and all those who collaborated in its composition.”.
The big stars this summer will be books and reading, with the 2021 edition of “Loa-Legge in Ogni Angolo,” the event entirely dedicated to reading promoted by the Department of Tourism, Culture and Sports of the City of Loano in collaboration with Aps #cosavuoichetilegga? together with Monica Maggi's Atuttotondo and local associations and entities adhering to the “Pact for Reading.”.
It begins on Saturday, June 26, at 9 p.m. in the Prince's Garden Redoubt, where there will be a presentation of “Is My Son Normal?” by Stefania Andreoli. The event is part of “Loano for the Social,” a review that will continue on Friday, July 9, with the presentation of “Night Watchman, or the ten thousand and one nights with Silvia, not Sherazade” by Giorgio Genta.

The 2021 edition of the Loano PreMeeting, the event that anticipates the themes of the Rimini Meeting, a kermesse that the Friendship Among Peoples Foundation organizes in August each year in Rimini, is scheduled from July 7 to 11 in Marina di Loano (but can be streamed from anywhere in the world). The initiative is promoted and carried out by the cultural association Cara Beltà and the San Francesco Maria da Camporosso ’Padre Santo’ Solidarity Bank of Loano with the contribution of the Tourism, Culture and Sports Department of the City of Loano, the Marina of Loano, and the Liguria Region. This year's edition is titled “The Courage to Say ”I“‘ and is based on a quote from Danish philosopher Søren Kierkegaard's ’Diary.” In this difficult and troubled historical period where scientific, economic, and social certainties and seemingly acquired lifestyles are in question, it is crucial to focus attention on man's freedom and his vocation to contribute to the construction of a more humane world.
Marina of Loano will be the location of several important events. On June 30, it will open the “Leisure Harbor Exibition,” an exhibition of projects by young architects from around the world who won the “Leisure Harbor” ideas competition. The show is staged twice each day, either at cocktail hour or after dinner to enjoy drinks prepared by bartenders and musical accompaniment. Tickets (those available are 100 in all) are on presale at the Pro Loco of Loano.

From July 20 to 22, always Marina of Loano will host “Cube Live,” the new review of live performances promoted by Cube throughout the country in particularly attractive locations.
