{:en}Friday, Jan. 19, from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., about 200 students from Loano's “Giovanni Falcone” high school will be the protagonists of a new meeting of “Training for the Future,” the Bosch and Randstad project that offers a series of initiatives aimed at orienting young people to their professional future. The event was organized with the collaboration of the Eccoci Eventi agency, a Bosch and Randstad partner, and enjoys the patronage of the City of Loano.

During the event, students will be able to talk with Bosch and Randstad representatives about the job they plan to do “when they grow up,” receiving advice on the most promising professions and the best strategies for achieving professional goals. In addition to hearing testimony from business men and women, the youngsters will have the opportunity to engage with a sports star: Daniela Masseroni, a gymnastics champion. Through the metaphor of sport, in fact, the meetings convey to the students the importance of making professional choices corresponding to their aptitudes and market demands, “training” their talents to reach their professional goal.

The event is based on the “Training for the Future” project, which brings together a series of initiatives to enhance tools for career guidance and growth, involving young people in an open discussion and offering schools and institutes practical training through internships or laboratory hours in companies.

“The young people who will take part in this initiative are at a crucial stage in their lives,” explains deputy mayor and alderman with responsibility for schools Luca Lettieri, "Before long they will have to choose whether to enter the world of work or continue their studies and, if so, which university career to pursue. This is a fundamental decision that will influence their future and their subsequent career choices. That is why it is so important to give them all the tools they need to make a choice that is as informed as possible and that takes into account their aptitudes, their preferences and what the labor market demands today. Schools not only have the task of providing young people with the knowledge to cope with life in the best possible way, but they must also help them understand who they are and what to ask of their future.".

Daniela Masseroni began gymnastics at age six. In 2001 she joined the Italian national team as an individualist; in 2003 she joined the team. Together with teammates Elisa Blanchi, Fabrizia D'Ottavio, Marinella Falca, and Elisa Santoni, she is coached by Emanuela Maccarani. She won the silver medal in the team competition at the Athens Olympics in 2004 and the team gold medal at the World Rhythmic Gymnastics Championships in Baku(Azerbaijan), in 2005. After a year of retirement from competitive activity, she participated in the 2007 world championships in Patras (Greece) where she won three silver medals. In 2008, at the European championships in Turin, she obtained the title of European champion by winning gold in the specialty with ropes by winning two more medals, silver and bronze. She is a member of the Air Force based in Vigna di Valle.

She participated in the 2008 Beijing Olympics, taking fourth place. In 2009 at the world championships in Miè (Japan) she became world champion, winning the gold medal in the overall competition, as well as another gold in the ribbons and ropes specialty and silver in the five-rope. In 2010 she was vice-European champion at the Bremen championships where she won two silver medals (general competition and 3 ribbons/2 ropes) and one bronze medal (5-ropes). At the 2010 world championships in Moscow, she confirmed her title as world champion right at the home of the highly favored Russia, winning, in addition to gold in the overall competition, two silvers in the specialty finals (5-rim and 3 ribbons/2 ropes). In 2011 she announced her retirement from competitive activities. Honors: Officer of the Order of Merit of the Italian Republic, Gold Collar of Sports Merit.
