Monday, August 14, at Loano, the calendar of events promoted by the’Department of Tourism, Culture and Sports of the City of Loano will offer a new musical event.

At 9 p.m., on the waterfront in Orto Maccagli, the concert will be held Napo sings De Andrè a tribute to the great Genoese singer-songwriter masterfully interpreted by the voice of Alberto Napolitano aka Napo.

In the evening, the artist will retrace the most significant moments of De Andrè's discography, from his early hits, “La canzone di Marinella,” “Bocca di rosa” and “La guerra di Piero” to Creuza de Mà and Anime Salve.

Alberto Napolitano, who has always been fascinated by songwriters of the French and Genoese school, decided in 2000 to build what was one of the first tribute bands dedicated to Fabrizio De André, the “Buonenuove,” thirteen elements on stage to pay homage to the man who for Napo always constituted the “synthesis” of everything beautiful that could be heard.

The Endegu were a sort of evolution of the Buonenuove, with this last formation he had the opportunity to tour all over Italy passing through the most important squares and theaters until he landed in 2004 at the most important stage of the Milanese Notte Bianca. In 2005 he was contacted by maestro Armando Corsi to sing together with great musicians such as Mario Arcari, Marco Fadda and Dado Sezzi. The project was called “Umbre de Muri” and had a tribute to French songwriting in addition to De André's songs on the setlist.

At the end of the season he was hired by Pier Michelatti as the singer of the tribute group “Faber per Sempre.” At the same time he began to appear in the squares simply as “Napo” in a tribute to the singer-songwriter of the Genoese school, with the project “Napo 5°tet” joined by the best Ligurian jazz musicians: Fabio Vernizzi, Dino Cerruti, Lorenzo Capello, Davide L'Abbate, Antonio Antognetti.

In the 2008 summer season, he led the project ” Attenti al Gorilla,” alongside Davide “Billa” Brambilla, Davide L'Abbate, Diego Scaffidi, Fabio Biale and Massimiliano Caretta.

Special guests have been Andrea Mirò, Ellade Bandini, Mario Arcari. And a guest in turn was Napo on Enrico Ruggeri's stage in August 2008. In January 2009, Enrico Ruggeri's album “ALL IN” was released in which Napo duets with him on the song “Teneri Amori.” In February 2009 he is PFM's guest at the Rolling Stone in Milan and a few months later his first solo album “Pause” is released. A record that contains not only some Fabrizio De Andrè covers but also tributes to Brassens and Piero Ciampi and many original songs. Today, considered undoubtedly the most authoritative voice linked to Fabrizio De Andrè, he also promotes his own new path of original songwriting music with songs born from the close, assiduous and exclusive collaboration with author Nicola Rollando.{:}
