Friday, August 11, a Loano, the review “Dreams Festival” will host the musician Danilo Sacco, former singer of Nomads, on his second solo album.
Danilo Sacco starting at 21.30, in the summer arena Prince's Garden, will present his own compositions together with songs by other great songwriters in a quintet.
The show, a story about everyday life, will pay homage to Francesco Guccini, Massimo Bubola, Sergio Endrigo and the great Nomadi hits to which his voice is linked: “Un giorno insieme,” “A Day Together,” “A Fistful of Sand,” “I Defended My Love,” “You'll Grow Up,” "God is Dead" and many others.
The evening will also feature songs from his two solo albums “Another Me” and “Noisy Minority.”.
Danilo Sacco, after playing in a number of musical bands, joined the historic group Nomadi in 1993, replacing the late founder and charismatic singer Augusto Daolio, alternating on vocals with the other newcomer Francesco Gualerzi.
“La settima onda” is Nomadi's first work in the new lineup and reaches platinum status. The same milestone is achieved by the subsequent “Lungo le vie del vento,” made among other things after the band's meeting with the Dalai Lama.
After the double live CD “Le strade, gli amici, il concerto”, awarded double platinum, “Una storia da raccontare” was released, in which Danilo's signature appears for the first time, in the song “Anni di frontiera”. From there on it is a succession of successes and enormous satisfaction for him (there is his signature in numerous songs of the following records including “If I don't have you” “Hello I am justice,” “Blood to the heart,” “The name you don't have” “And at night,” “Standing” and “Clench your fists,” up to the most recent “No name,” “I don't know about me but you,” “The chair dance” and “Nothing“).
He participated with Nomads in Sanremo in 2006 with the song “Dove si va,” and in 2010, they accompanied Irene Fornaciari, with the song “Il mondo piange.”.
In the meantime various fan clubs dedicated to him are born all over Italy, he publishes a mini-cd under the name Mikele Soave and Danilo Kakuen, with two songs “Papa'rticolar” and “River sand creek.”.
In 2011 Danilo published “The Event Horizon,” described as a collection of words, thoughts, and music Danilo wrote for his fanclubs; a CD with seven songs is attached to the book.
After eighteen years, as of January 2012 Danilo Sacco, officially, is no longer the lead singer of Nomads. In the same year he released his first solo album “Un Altro Me” and the new single-videoclip “Non Ho Che Te.” At the same time, his book “Come Polvere Nel Vento” (Rizzoli), in which he tells his story, was also released.
June 6, 2014 sees the release of the new album “Noisy Minority,” which comes two years after the previous one, anticipated by the single and video clip of the same name.
The review DREAMS FESTIVAL is promoted by the’Department of Tourism, Culture and Sports of the City of Loano and edited by Event Size, under the artistic direction of Ivan Fabio Perna.
