{:en}PRESS RELEASE (4/08/2017)
Saturday, August 5, a Loano, star of the musical season of the festival “Dreams Festival” will be the singer-songwriter and musician Fabrizio Moro, winner of the Lunezia Prize for Sanremo (2017) as the best text in the competition.
Fabrizio Moro starting at 21.30, in the summer arena Prince's Garden, will present his new record of unreleased music “Peace” (Sony Music Italy), which also contains the San Remo single “Take me away”, already certified gold disc, on certifications circulated by FIMI / GfK Italy.
“I chose to title the record “Peace,”" he explains. Fabrizio Moro - because it is a feeling that I have touched so many times in my life but it has never been long lasting. I have a very competitive and combative nature and I would love for it to be a stable condition. However, in my life I have found peace in the simple things, the things that are part of everyday life, such as when I walk with my children or have a glass of wine with a friend. Unfortunately, however, I don't think I will ever find it as a total condition.”
Singer-songwriter and musician, Fabrizio Moro learned to play guitar, piano, and bass guitar as a self-taught musician, beginning to write and arrange his first songs as a teenager. Music represents a true inner strength for him, while his songs are a series of photographs and images that tell the story of everyday life.
“Working on the record “Peace,”" says Moro - I got to read myself inside. Before I was much more angry with society and life, I used songs as an outlet. By looking inside myself I began to understand what was wrong, and thanks to writing I got to know myself better.”
A 20-year career behind it, which began in 1996, with eight studio albums under its belt and the collection “Atlantic Live”. In addition to the just ended edition, during which the song “Take me away” received the “Mention Lunezia Prize for Sanremo” as the best competing lyrics in the Samples section, Moro has already participated in four Sanremo Festival as a songwriter and two as an author. He won in 2007 among the Newcomers with “Think”, a song with which he also won the Critic's Award “Mia Martini” and took the podium in 2008 among the Champions with “Yet you changed my life.”.
An icon for teenagers, he composed the theme song for the generational drama “The High Schoolers” and is a multi-year coach of the TV program “Amici”. On TV, he also became the narrator of the program “Bars”, the first docu-reality filmed inside the Rebibbia prison, while he continues his collaborations as a writer for great perfomers such as Noemi, Emma Marrone and Gaetano Curreri.
After major sell-outs recorded at Rome's Palalottomatica and Milan's Alcatraz, the summer tour that brings Fabrizio to Loano as part of the DREAMS FESTIVAL, promoted by the’Department of Tourism, Culture and Sports of the City of Loano and edited by Event Size, under the artistic direction of Ivan Fabio Perna.
