Saturday, July 15, a Loano, the calendar of summer events promoted by the’Department of Tourism, Culture and Sports of the City of Loano, proposes an evening with Occitan and international dances.
At 9 p.m., in Fortress Square, l’Balà Association on the shore of u mà will bring to life an evening of folk dances with musicians of the duo Folk en Rouge.
The folk music group, consisting of. Michela Manera (diatonic accordion and chromatic accordion) and Fabio Rosso (piano accordion), will perform traditional songs from the Occitan valleys (from the Vermenagna Valley corenta going up to Sampeyre or Castelmagno), Irish tunes (from slow, old-fashioned airs to lively reels to Scottish) and music from Venezuela, Bulgaria, Moldova, the Basque Country, Germany, and finally neighboring France, with its gentle gavotte and its rhythmic bourrée
